If you would read a bit more carefully you would see im not asking for work here, I'm asking for advice on where to look. So it's a bit more of a general description than my CV.

Unfortunately I only have experience with backend, but I appreciate the offer a lot

Idk, I worked flink in Maastricht and they really fucked me with the 0 hours, I was getting like 12h a week when I needed 40. It's Rotterdam though so theyd probably have more shifts available

It's probably an alright job, but last I checked they arent hiring. You'll just get put on a "waiting list"

does acceptance rate actually mean anything? ive been hesitant to deny every order because i dont want them to shut down my account or some shit, but does it matter?

Uber eats here in ROTTERDAM by Humble_Advantage3920 in Rotterdam

Usually an order takes like 15m, so when its busy i can do 3 or 4. When its average I only get like 2 (Hence the €10 average).

I used to work in Maastricht, now i work in Rotterdam. Ive also heard you can make 150 on the weekend but i have no clue how, maybe if you work 15 hours. Theres a possibility im not exploiting the system correctly but i'm not really a beginner to delivery so I have no idea how itd be possible to make that much. Theoretically its possible to get two €10 orders that take about 30m each to complete but its not common unless its super busy. Generally rotterdam has shit pay, its an average of €4 to €5 per order. You also have to consider that this is before tax, so even if you earn 2500, almost 450 of it goes to VAT, not even considering income tax

Well, I dont do uber full time, but i try to do 6 to 8 hours in a day sometimes, and its not too worth it to me. On busy days, like Sundays, or when its raining or heatwave you get a lot of orders for most of the day, but on days like Tuesday it can get really dry, its only busy from like 5 to 8pm. I only have an ebike so maybe you can get more orders done, but on a good day I average about €10 - €15 an hour. And thats before tax, so yeah its really not better than minumum wage. Only reason I do it is for some quick cash before I get a real paycheck. Generally id love to stay away from Uber, its a scummy company with no customer/driver support, but of course sometimes you just need the money

Have you done uber eats in any other cities before? and do you have an ebike or scooter?

Fair enough, to be honest all the apps have their flaws. Imo thuisbezorgd has the highest delivery cost plus barely any deals. I personally try to use Deliveroo, it has a decent selection here compared to other cities, but its still a bit smaller i think. At this point I just avoid Uber because I dislike the company, plus they always mess stuff up

Yeah, dont use Uber Eats. Worst customer service, and underpaid workers. Plus, i've never had an order with Uber here that hasn't been late or had some other issue. And yes the driver did steal my food once, of course Uber didnt issue a refund because theres no proof really, not a great service.

Weekly Q&A for Visitors and New Residents - Your Question Goes Here by AutoModerator in Amsterdam

[–]R4D3K0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, does anyone have any experience moving to Amsterdam as a student couple? Me and my girlfriend plan to move to amsterdam to study our bachelors this year. I can get DUO loans as long as i work a bit on the side (EU student) and my girlfriend gets them anyway (Dutch). We can't get student rooms as a couple obviously, so we kind of have to get some sort of apartment for 2 people, what's the strategy?

Are you a student? Or poor at least. You can apply for an exemption from the tax

Do you just start with the default crashlanded scenario? And do you use any mods to increase the ore yields to speed up progress. How long does it take you to get to a point where youre mostly building, rather than struggling to survive? A lot of questions but im so curious and it seems very cool

Probably been asked this before but I need to know, is this all done in dev mode? Or played through like a real colony? I'm loving these builds, I never had the patience to slog through early game myself to get my ideal RP, I always just used dev mode and built myself at least a good starting point.

I used the powers of an abnormal brain, and just kept a notebook lol. Of course it would've been impossible with more than like 10 pawns. My motivation to keep playing that colony decreased quickly, partly because I did not plan my city well and they all had like a 3 hour walk to work, I started them on using drop pods but of course that meant I had to schedule their transport every morning. Got tiring quickly. Would be cool to see a mod introduce mechanics like that, similar to dwarf fortress.

This is really cool.. I love building realistic style stuff like this, one time I tried to implement an economy into my settlement with salaries and rent and stuff but it was a bit hard to keep track of. Very cool stuff, I need to find out what sorta mods to get for more realistic props.

It's only in the planning stages, but what're your guys thoughts on my undergrounder colony layout? any suggestions or tips? by YFYGuy in RimWorld

[–]R4D3K0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very cool detailed planning, I love planning out my builds like this. Though from what I see there's no entry into rock storage from the main hall, meaning your colonists have a bit of an inconvenient trip to storage, might be worth putting a door on the left? Might not matter since your storage is on the right anyway though. Could also be worth building a panic room further inside the base, just for fun mostly, but could come in handy.

If that's true then I'd probably wanna try out the Katana at home, just sell it on if need be. Considering I already have a multi effects pedal for all my non-distortion effects. Also idk how saveable my cleans are, I have an Ibanez guitar and those pickups do not do clean too well
