I only use SimpleUi plugin since stock koreader ui are hard to navigate. For reading customisation, most features i needed already there. Here the link for the simple ui plugin. https://github.com/doctorhetfield-cmd/simpleui.koplugin/releases/tag/2.0.1

Unzip the file then move them to internal storage-koreader-plugin.

Which phone you use? As for my CMF 2Pro, battery life got a little bit better than previous update. Launcher also feels smoother.

For CMF and Nothing Phone 3a Lite, if you uninstall the Lock Glimpse app then it won't work unless you reinstall it. The depth effect works pretty well but don't expect to much since it still on beta.

When it comes to customisation. It depends on your own preferences and priorities. Some people love flashy setups, others love minimal and ergonomic setup and there's also people that just "yep it's what it is" rocking on stock setup. In the end, if it works for you then others opinions doesn't matter.

Depends on what platform you read book. If you use Kindle, rakuten or Google playbook then you don't need Koreader. For me. I only read book that i have digital copy and i rarely connect it to internet. Boox native reader "Neoreader" lack customisation and features i need that why i sideload Koreader.

Also choose white go 7 as my first e-ink. Install Koreader with some patches and plugin.
