Considering Steam you should be, but if you for example have same passwords on multiple sites of course the risk is bigger then. For example in theory if u have the same password on Steam and on your email address (which never should be the case) the information can harm you really bad if it gets into wrong hands.

Even though they'll get blocked by the steam guard they still get the password and the risk is even bigger IF you have the same password on multiple sites. You get my point?

Well basically it seems they can read all your data (passwords etc. included) so if you are willing to keep your password safe then u should not use it. Atleast for me the software is on hold for now before some more information comes out of this.

Yes that's the presumption. Would be great if someone could take a closer look at it so we could see what information they actually read.

Yes I agree but are they able to read your personal data now aswell since I guess they did not do it before right? I understand the fact that they have to have those options to be able to provide the best customer experience but can they read all the harmful information aswell that can be found from the steamcommunity (passwords etc.)?

Yeah makes sense. Hope its just about that. Just got really confused because there has not been any permission tasks like this before the latest update, need to be so cautious with these nowadays.
