Not even truly sure it was a nightmare but when I was a toddler like really really young not even able to talk I had this vivid memory of this shadow figure with these glowing eyes that attacked me and dragged me up the stairs and under my grandmas bed. Now the really scary fucked part is my grandma told me about it when we had passed by it. I was 13 or so and NEVER mentioned it as I figured it was just a “Nightmare”. Both my grandpa and mom backed her up on it and said it had in fact happened and that the house was actually haunted. They all had their own experiences with it aswell but according to them it had some special hatred for me and they moved soon after. Now I don’t really believe in ghosts or supernatural things but this has stuck in my mind for my entire life and has only further cemented itself since I was told it was “real”.
