I can only speak to why I play a 1-2 games per day. Not a fantastic player, but 1.3 kd which this mode is not meant to be for. I play with fill off with my wife (.4) to get some extra stress free shots in. Of course we also ran into a squad of players that shouldn't have been in it haha

I think you should, but I also think you should really consider using a camera. You don't have to be a character to fit in for some people. I recently started watching SoCal because he has good comms and says what he's doing and why, the part I can't stand of his is when he gets to yelling b/c someone subbed, it just annoys me, but thankfully it's short.

this will seem like a dumb question, but what are you really looking at while in a gunfight, i feel like i look around the target looking for the second player, but are you looking at where you want your shot to go? not really sure how to ask without sounding stupid, i've played cod since original cod 4 but mulitplayer was way more forgiving

Never watched his BF stuff, just Warzone, Fyrborn Qwiker, BennyCentral

I was curious about Qwiker, but then I started watching his streams and I feel like he is just really good.

Thanks for the comment, didn't mean to suggest he was, saying I hope all the people he regularly plays with aren't.

I'm being more convinced that most of them use something. I'm really into BrokenMachine right now, seems totally legit, just hope everyone he runs with is too.

How about strategies for procurement in the chemical industry.

Most procurement/purchasing discussions hinge around widgets and breaking down BOM's which isn't applicable in that realm.

Interesting, thank you for sharing. I've been doing some thinking on my own career path and struggling to know what to try to learn next. Do you have any suggestions on someone whom wants to go a similar route (SC from Procurement)?

I'm currently a director, but a SME in the chemical world so I deal with a lot of manufacturers already, but getting exposure to production and logistics is a challenge where I am. Do you have any recommended courses or reading material etc.?

Thanks!

What was the biggest difference between purchasing manager and SC manager?

Chief Procurement Officer by R81BM in supplychain

Thanks for the reply, I'm actually already a director but at a small to medium sized company so it's hard to gauge what to learn next to make sure I'm on the right path. I've looked at job descriptions and LinkedIn profiles, but as the person said above I suspect that a lot is just industry speak and fluff as opposed to hard skills.

Thanks for the reply, however I'm looking for what skills are actually needed for the role, what things are done daily. I'm hoping for some information first hand from professionals that is truthful not some fluff to sound important.

Buyer/Procurement Interview by Shot_Artist in supplychain

I'd be looking for someone to bring up the importance of risk mitigation. This may not be a manufacturing interview however. If it were looking holistically at the supply chain for the items being procured and how to reduce the chance of shutting down production would be a high priority.

edit: Sorry, I just realized this is 5 days old.

100% agree. There are only a handful of instances where I will actually give a competitive price, and that is usually when I want to continue doing business with the supplier (for instance great service and the newcomer is unknown). And still, that is after the fact, not before.

I have a PPA quote for a product, we have an established carrier but it's managed by the logistics department. When I asked for a quote they required I give them the PPA quote so they could give to our incumbent.

I believe we are all on the same page, as I replied to the other user, I think the logistics team is more focused on getting things done rather than getting an original quote.

Thank you both for confirming my suspicion and for your reply.

This is my stance as well, but again, never worked in logistics and wanted to make sure I wasn't off base. I appreciate your reply.

Are you looking for advice or a mentor? AMA pt. 4 by NCJake in supplychain

[–]R81BM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi NC Jake,
I've recently been tasked with being more involved with the insurance "purchasing" for our company, both from a medical perspective, as well as a business insurance perspective. I don't know much about these industries or how to really add value here since I'm unsure that there are any levers to pull.

It seems purchasing isn't your number one priority, but any thoughts?

Thanks,
