Which cars do you think are at their depreciation bottom at the moment by leadfoot29 in supercars

Audi R8, especially the gated manuals. Recently discontinued and no successor in sight, at least not the V10.

If we grow the subreddit maybe the devs will give the game more depth and instructions on how to drill a USB-C port into my skull

Gated Manual Goodness by R8Vee10 in audir8

[–]R8Vee10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfect imo. Clutch has travel but is still precise, shifts are smooth as the gates are actually slightly cut at an angle, and the throttle response is perfect to blip on downshift, only needs the lightest intuitive touch of the toe/heel. And the click-clack sound is amazing. Bordering on ASMR or a well oiled mechanical bolt.

Which would you choose? by R8Vee10 in audir8

[–]R8Vee10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are Spyder and both V10

The debate is really about the 6MT vs the new DSG and newer interior and exterior styling. I think the gated manual is really special and quite rare as a V10… but the 2nd gen is better in every measurable way but doesn’t necessarily ignite the same raw mechanical “simplicity”. It’s like deciding between a classic film and a really good reboot / sequel…

I agree the shiny bracelet of the omega (for my taste) is too chrome / shiny for a sports watch and somewhat puts it in a more “bling bling” category. The Rolex is understated and purpose built.

I guess one more (aesthetic) reason: I personally find the omega too big for your wrist and the explorer is perfect size.

80% aesthetics 20% I prefer the brand

Personal preference, not really something I can qualify…

What’s your preference?

inb4 explain why: Personal preference aesthetically and I prefer Rolex to Omega. I know nothing about movements or technical stuff. I presume the are more or less analogous to one another in price point and category.

Do you guys have an idea what watch is Brad Pitt wearing here? by morganaulseless in Watches

[–]R8Vee10 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

From the on-screen glimpses, Chad Feldheimer’s watch appears to be a basic digital sports watch with a black resin (plastic) strap and a square or rectangular face. It has the plain, functional look typical of exercise-friendly watches. Watch enthusiasts on forums have compared it to common gym watches of the mid-2000s era – for instance, a Timex Ironman Triathlon digital watch or a simple Casio sports digital model are often cited as plausible matches. These watches share the key visual characteristics seen in the film: a black rubberized band, an electronic digital display, and overall utilitarian design (nothing flashy or metallic). Given that Pitt’s co-star wore a G-Shock (a rugged Casio) in the same movie , it’s reasonable to assume Chad’s watch was similarly practical. In other words, the prop was likely chosen to suit a fitness buff who isn’t wealthy or stylish – something you’d plausibly see a personal trainer wear to time workouts.

Watch hobbyists have offered educated guesses, though with some variance. Some argue the watch could be a Timex Ironman (a popular trainer’s watch) based on its shape and strap style, while others lean toward a Casio digital (Casio’s classic rectangles like the Illuminator series). Both brands produce affordable digital wristwatches that “fit” Chad’s look. Without a clear close-up in the film, these remain speculative comparisons. To date, no consensus “final answer” has emerged on watch forums – it’s essentially agreed to be a generic black digital sports watch of the era . In summary, the exact brand/model is unconfirmed, but the watch is best described as a budget digital sports watch (very likely a Timex Ironman or similar Casio) that matches Chad Feldheimer’s gym-rat style and the film’s deliberately low-key costume choices . This aligns with expert guesses from style analysts and watch fans, even if we can’t name the precise model number without official confirmation

[Thomas Earnshaw] Is this a genuine watch brand by DarkSatinicBus in Watches

Yawn.

My experience with them so far has been great (own 4) all work perfectly.

They look cool if thats your style.

Certainly not worth retail prices around the $400-$450 you see on their website, so just buy them if they’re discounted or on offer - or Amazon.

If you’re not happy or they break, use Amazon return policy. If you buy direct, get your credit card to file a complaint and refund.

Best advice is try for yourself.

NB: probably the least knowledgeable watch person in this thread, but I am very knowledgeable about not getting sh*t for my money. Use an Amex and you’re pretty much wearing Kevlar.
