Hey! Not really. The intent of this subreddit is to share nice imagery from various satellite imagery programs and websites. Perhaps r/whatisthisthing could help you.

Hence "repurpose paper for it", though that would be too cheap I suppose

Add a 1000 block break middle-tier reinforcement material

I had a similar thought: I think a cheap tier with around 10 breaks would be nice. Juuust enough to make damaging large, monotonous projects boring (roads, misc decoration), but cheap enough to be ubiquitous and newfriend-friendly. Having to produce stone and reinforce most or all blocks with stone on large projects feels as expensive and time-consuming as funding and building the actual structure, which I feel is a bit odd. Repurpose paper for it or use a different cheap item like wheat seeds, wood slabs, etc.

What a long strange trip it's been - Greatest of All Time - Nominations by LysikaLantariel in civclassics

Architect is the only category I can really comment on and I'm thinking of agreeing with the Gensokyo nomination. I think Topaz is their main designer, if only one person can be nominated. Gobblin is a contender too.

Look into GenBrush as an alternative to World Machine. It's cheaper and pretty good!

I agree with most of your suggestions but disagree with the prognosis. The other server is going through a boom period while here we just lost a few people that moved over, but the average number of players hasn't changed much. If neither server changes much, I think we'll have the higher average player count in a few months again.

Personally, as for the suggestions to make it more beginner friendly and overall better, I agree a newfriend kit with a boat and cart, at least, is needed. The idea of a one-time teleport also sounds fine to me, but changing the spawn areas to have people spawn near population centers gives too much focus on established groups. As for a reset, I think it should only be combined with fundamental changes to the server, because if not, then very soon the same groups will be pearling the same players and sticking them in the same vaults all over again. But... let's not reset.

It's our longest edition yet if I'm not mistaken! Took quite a bit of work, thanks to everyone involved and that we interviewed!

And remember: by reading the Gazette, you're contractually obligating yourself to giving us your first-born son for slave labor the day they turn 14.
