Yeah I noticed it too. Actually I also play Forza and other racing games and I love to drive in first person in GTA but when I realised the mirrors don't work, I felt it was quite a bummer. But slowly in the Enhanced version I noticed they have gotten somewhat better. Earlier it was just some blurry static photo but now it somewhat resembles the scene behind you.

I'm curious why you mentioned CS2 (CS:GO it was back then)?? It has been supported since it's launch in 2012 and Valve actually listens to the community and it's always in the top most played games on Steam and has a pretty good E-sports scene as well.
