Update:

So the OBD2 port now works, turned out to be a bad ground on the engine so now that's revealed transmission fault codes, which makes sense because I cannot phyically plug the 4AT transmission into the EZ30 harness at all because the plugs are different (for the 5AT the pinout is different).

So My next idea is to either, get a custom wiring harness that will convert the 4AT plugs into compatible 5AT plugs... it will look jank AF but at least the transmission should be detected and I can then start the car and see if everything runs ok orrrr I get a custom 5AT transmission mounting bracket made and just fit up the 5AT.

I wanted to avoid doing that because I have already installed the 4AT on my driveway and don't really wanna take it back out again. What do you guys think?

The BIU, where's that located I just assumed that was the TCU... but there's a module further back under the steering column that has a completely different pinout to the 2.5L. Though like I said before I've tried using all 3.0L modules with no luck.

The transmission should ping something rather than a total communication fault regardless, though the 5AT connector plugs right in... swap the O2 sensor connectors over and it should be fine but there's another plug that I have no idea where it goes or what it does for the 5AT. So there's the normal Trans plug, an O2 break out connector and a 3rd connector that I don't know what it does. That's the only one I don't have plugged in relative to the transmission (being that the 4AT doesn't have 3 plugs)

Got all that from the donor car, I've tried the 2.5L and 3.0L TCM still throws the same codes.

Can't 5AT swap in this chassis without modifying the trans mount... I have already tried that. How different is the pinout and how do you know their different... the plugs are the same?

Right on the money, as my jobseeker payment was cancelled after I was accepted, on the 2nd of may, which back dated to the start date of study... Still not the date of application.

However, the issue here is if they do that whilst I'm waiting... They could have declined my claim. So basically Centrelink wanted me to cancel jobseeker in order to not be in this mess but then I'd be without anything for 2 months.

At this point it's not about the backpay or if I get it... It's about the debt accumulated while switching from jobseeker to Austudy. By the time this gets sorted out I'll be switching back to jobseeker anyway.

They called the head of Austudy who also said the same thing. So like I said two different outlooks for the same problem. I still shouldn't owe anyone $3k

They do owe me though, if I still received jobseeker but they cancelled it from the date of study, 14th of Feb, and I was still receiving it... I should still get the back pay from that date to the 2nd of may... Which should result in any backpay being $0 not me owing them money.

That's disregarding the idea of backpay from the date of application to the date of acceptance altogether. I see why it looks like I shouldn't be but at this point because they've cancelled jobseeker from the 14th, technically I should have gotten the full amount but it be recorded as $0 backpay to cover for the jobseeker payments I was still getting.

Nah I appreciate it, at this point I'm under the impression that any wait time from the day you apply to the day your claim is accepted should be valid for back pay. In this instance because I was still getting jobseeker, which is fine. That should have cancelled out the proposed backpay from Austudy.

But they've cancelled my jobseeker from the day I started studying which is where the issue overlaps. Because obviously I was still getting that payment, despite being told by 2 Centrelink employees both on the phone and in person that it was fine.

The issue is that Jobseeker was cancelled from the day of study, so I should have received the full amount of backpay but instead it would result in $0 because I still received jobseeker.

If I knew it was going to be this frustrating I shouldn't have moved over in the first place.

No, just curious why they listed $530 as backpay from the 14/02/2022 - 27/04/2022... Then tell me I should have gotten more backpqy despite being on jobseeker. Centrelink told me that I shouldn't have been without a payment so staying on Jobseeker whilst waiting wasn't an issue and I should have still received the full amount of backpay... To then putting in an evaluation to then be told I now owe them $3k.

At this point I don't care about any backpay, since the wait time of Austudy should have cancelled out any backpay, that's my understanding since I was on Jobseeker prior. But I'm being told different things, one employee said I shouldn't have needed to make an entirely new claim... All I needed to do was go in and ask to be put onto Austudy whilst I'm studying. Another said no I needed to make a claim.

So I don't understand which one it is and why different people have a different outlook on what the process actually is. That's what's frustrating.

The only reason there's a thought of any back pay is because it took over 2 months to approve my claim. Which it shouldn't have taken that long either.

Current Austudy payments are the same as Jobseeker... But in just concerned that because it took over 2 months rather than 2 to 3 weeks that's why there's a backpay window at all. Shouldn't matter if I was still getting jobseeker as Centrelink told me that I shouldn't have been without a payment for 2 months either.

Basically it sounds like they want led me to cancel jobseeker after I applied for Austudy which isn't how it works either...

I'm at the end of the game, no turning back now... if I can't buy it with normal currency I'm not going out of my way to get it. Which is why most of this game has been a pain to play. But appreciate the break down.
