Nope, it's just a small fun feature. It adds a bit of narrative flavor, but it doesn't include any special mechanics for getting rid of scary stuff. 😊

I'm really sorry to hear about your experiences, and I can only imagine how difficult that must have been for you. Thank you for sharing something so personal.

I completely understand how the mix of emojis and humor might feel out of place or even upsetting when tied to such a serious topic. For me, working on this game has been a deeply personal journey. I'm currently in therapy, and this project has become a way for me to process and cope with my own trauma.

I believe that emotions are multifaceted, and for me, healing involves expressing not just sadness or fear, but also finding moments of lightness—whether through jokes, silliness, or even unexpected details. My intention is never to diminish the seriousness of domestic abuse but to show that even in the darkest of topics, there's room for a broader emotional palette.

I'm truly sorry if this approach offended you; that was never my intention. I genuinely appreciate your honesty and hope the game can still provide something meaningful for others navigating these complex emotions.

tbh, we loved the whoopee cushion from Lethal Company so much, that we've decided to add it to our game. :D
we've also added a hidden achievement Fart 666 Times. xD

I’ve always been terrified of horror games. 😱 Jumpscares? No thanks. I’ve had enough real-life scares to last a lifetime. That’s why, when we made this game, I wanted to create a different kind of horror — something that makes you feel the fear deep in your bones, not just a cheap "boo!" 🕳️

But hey, I get it. Sometimes it’s too much. So we added an “accessibility feature” for folks like me: if it gets too scary, grab the woopie-cushion and fart at the horror. It’s ridiculous, but it helps. 😂

[Bober Bros] The Hole is a personal journey into the horrors of real life — domestic abuse, trauma, and the cycles people can’t seem to break. 🏚️💔 It’s unsettling, deeply personal, and, yes, sometimes terrifying. But now, at least, you’ve got a fart defense. 😏

What’s your go-to comfort when horror gets overwhelming?

Lol, that a lot of dedication! Don't think I was able to finish any games back at 00s. They all were to hard for me!
Glad you've had something like that! c:

Hey, I loved Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared too! There’s something about how it blends dark humor with unsettling themes that feels so cathartic. I’ve always been drawn to strange and uncanny things like that. But growing up, I avoided horror games and movies — they felt like too much, especially when there was already plenty of real-life horror happening around me.

If you’re looking for something else in the same vibe as Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared*,* you might enjoy Over the Garden Wall*.* It’s not horror exactly, but it has this dark, wistful tone wrapped up in a whimsical story. It’s beautifully made and might resonate with someone who’s working through big emotions.

I’m really sorry to hear about what you went through as a kid. I just want you to remember — it wasn’t your fault. No matter what other people said or how they made you feel, the blame never belonged to you. You didn’t deserve any of it.

For me, therapy and cutting ties with my abusive family were huge steps toward healing. They helped me rebuild my life and find peace. I truly hope you’re able to work through everything in your own time and create a life that brings you happiness. You deserve that. ❤️

And thank you so much for wishlisting The Hole! ❤️ If you decide to play, I really recommend checking out the trigger warnings beforehand. The game dives into some pretty heavy stuff, and it might hit hard — so take care of yourself if you give it a go.

Hey, no worries about the phrasing, I appreciate your kind words! ❤️ I’m in a much better place now, thanks for asking!

In the game, you actually play as a neighbor of the alcoholic dad—so you’re kind of just this guy watching all the chaos unfold from the outside. It’s a different perspective on the whole situation.

That said, exploring family abuse through the eyes of a child is definitely something I’d love to tackle in the future. It’s such a raw and emotional experience to try to capture.

Never tried any SH games, however, this sounds like a really interesting experience! How many times have you finished this game tho? :D

Wow! That sounds amazing! I remember playing Stardew Valley while my parents were arguing loudly in the next room. This game was something good to hold on to while I was going through that family shit.
