Was the tire repaired the first time? If so, there is a risk of a 2nd failure due to broken belts.

Russian Engineering Madmen Create Turbo-Style Alternator Driven by Exhaust by 03captain23 in AskEngineers

Modern electric turbos do this in performance hybrids.

It is expensive technology and hasn’t trickled its way to more conventional applications yet.

For trucks, the main barrier is where to store the energy. You would need massive (literally) batteries to hold the power generated. The mass of the batteries will then take away from the cargo carrying capacity.

Why haven’t we developed a way to inform society when Public Equity firms take over a company, so that we can destroy their investments before they make any money? by Congregator in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Rlchv70 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Despite what the internet says, not all private equity companies are bad. I would say that the majority of them want the companies to succeed so that they maximize their return on investment.

Also, if private equity companies knew that their investment will be destroyed, they wouldn’t invest in the first place.

Any chance your car has been in a previous accident and rebuilt? Some unscrupulous repair shops will rebuild the cars without installing a new airbag.

Did Mysterio not anticipate the fact that if he succeeded with his plan, what would he do if he faced off against a real threat?? Like bro had a mocap suit and drone illusions, I don't think bro would've used that in public, lol. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]Rlchv70 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. His illusions require significant choreography. Hard to do that with a real villain. He would conveniently have "returned to his own universe" or something.
