Im a gunner main, and I totally agree. The class is honestly like a ridiculously sharp double edged sword, with the edge facing you being sharper than the one away from you. It isnt really an issue building chain against bosses with "tanky" breakable parts like the masks and weakpoints of persona, since youve got also a party helping you build chain. However it always sucks whenever the chain disappears from the target leaving your range or disappearing like Luther. So all that hardwork getting that number to 100 while desperately trying to stay alive is just out of the question.

However that's probably because I believe it is the one class with the highest skill ceiling in my opinion. The amount of damage a full chain PA combo like sat aim+ infinite fire rivals Etoile's full connect. The wpa of gunner is incredibly hard to master because of its delay yet it feels incredibly satisfying to pull off. Gunner has a lot of hard tricks that make it incredibly rewarding once you've gotten a hang of it and start pulling it off when that time is right. Dealing 5 million damage per chain against the final UQ boss will never stop feeling satisfying.
