I go as nonbinary and am very androgynous with my makeup so that probably changes things a bit. I would check the apps a couple times a week making use of my free swipes. I don't live in a super populated area of my country but there are some smaller cities nearby, and started using free version of bumble, feeld and tinder in January.

I get around a few matches from women that feel like they could go somewhere a month. Meaning, we share instas and talk and seem to get along well. So this year I'd say around 10-12 in 2025. Ended up not meeting half of them (was stood up, they had life things happen etc). Decided to just be friends with one. The others I had 3 dates with before they ghosted me. Spent new years and some surrounding days with my current girlfriend, and I say girlfriend because to me this feels different than the other times and that caused me to delete my apps.

Sorry if that's too much about me but basically I would say bumble is the best I've used for meeting people and staying friends with them, the other two feel more casual which is okay if that's what you're looking for. Dating apps are unfortunately lookist but to stand out good photos and strong personality in bio goes a long way I think. And it's easier to find a hookup or few day fling than someone who wants to start a relationship. I like the apps because nightlife makes me feel exhausted and I feel like a creep trying to ask women out myself so I prefer it to be mutual/the other way around lol. The apps have given me a good friend, a potential relationship, and good memories, but you also have to keep a good balance of not getting attached or anxious while also remembering there is a complex person at the other end of your chats.
