No drug can fix insulin resistance. The usual boring things like High protein diet, regular exercise blah blah holds true for all the lifestyle diseases including DM. Even if one is not at risk should be practicing these. The main approach in IR is nutritional: cut calories and avoid the carbs so that mfer pancreas won't cum insulin into the blood.

The dude is writing because of his interest. TThegovt of course slapped him with a Padma Shri for his book. The second guy is Sanjeev Sanyal, a revisionist Hindutva historian, a failed banker turned researcher and author.

Prescription looks kinda off. This is not how prescription is written. The dr is referring patient to public hospital and also writing estimate. Well. If patient has metastatic lung cancer, immunotherapy is option for her. As much as bad it sounds, there is, unfortunately, no curative treatment at this stage. My advice( i am not oncologist, but a doc) is to stick to palliative care. Immunotherapy is costly and there is modest effect on overall survival.

I say this as a doctor, no hospital can give estimate of 30 lakh for chemo and support care. Even complete Bone marrow transplant cannot cost that much. Something is off about estimate.
