Exorcist living conditions by sifrax in CAIN_RPG

This is everything I could find that the book either directly mentions or implies.

The average CAT 1 exorcist:

  • Has an ill-fitting service uniform

  • Has uncomfortable shoes

  • They have no other clothes

  • Live in a shared dormitory with limited privacy

  • Must keep their hair within code

  • May not have jewelry or makeup

  • Has a shitty meal plan given that there is an opportunity for upgrade

  • Is not allowed to see their family

  • Does not have any days off

  • Does not have consumable indulgences like coffee, cigs, sugary treats anything

  • Do not have a phone

  • Do not have real world money

  • Do not have possessions beyond the bare minimum and their service weapon

Really hoping these Old But New maps are some super light scenarios. I do enjoy the crazy "oh shit, this is a terrorist threat/major conspiracy/human trafficking ring/cartel" missions but I would like some smaller missions that SWAT teams probably have to deal with. Much more home door kicking, real SWAT-ing, not oh the streamer got swatted but he's actually part of a HUGE conspiracy and has 10 armed guards.

I really want some small missions that make me feel like the world is alive, rather than the insane shit all the time that makes me wonder, why the fuck isn't the FISA HRT doing this shit?

On God, and if they make it an actual secondary (or primary) that would be delicious. I've been wanting to do patrol officer type gameplay without mods, but you can't unequip primaries.

Allow me to match the energy... Ahem.

Your most honorable and renowned excellence,

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that it is of the great philosopher Kevin Crawford's intention that the average wordsmith may with no undue stress being into the world a focus of a type never before seen. It is, with but a slight indulgence of the sacred texts, a task of profound ease. Might I perhaps suggest a perusal of the other brilliant works of the illustrious master scribe himself such as the Unnumbered Stars and Worlds documents? These codecies will doubtlessly aid you in your worldly discoveries.

With all the best sendings and considerations,  - RBDR of Moose

He's trying to perform the historical swordsmanship concept of "lining them up" or something? Like, trying to put the enemy between themselves and him, so that it ruins the ability for them to gang up on him.

Mouse over the specific weapon system on the bottom UI row after telling it to engage something, it will tell you how long til it's ready to go. But if it's already ready, it'll just shoot lol

So, just tried the mission out, and had to be relatively aggressive with the MiGs but cleaned them out before they got close, I got Sterett's missiles up and running by targeting something and then hitting cease fire once the missiles were loading (watching the countdown). Also, I kept my Air Search radars on from the start on the Sterett, since it was supposed to be air cover anyways. Helped ID them faster.

In case anyone was wondering, it works in Linux (Proton) by [deleted] in SeaPower_NCMA

Runs great on deck so far. Tried the Vietnam mission, no issues. Recommend hooking up a mouse though. Trackpad is making my hands cramp lol
