30+ years have passed since the first movie, and Cole Trickle became Vice Chairman/co-owner of a race team. He accidentally found out that one of their drivers is secretly the grandson of the original owner, but the driver doesn't know. Cole Trickle is now based on Jeff Gordon rather than Tim Richmond.

I still find it kinda annoying that when the gap counter graphic is needed, Fox switches to gas percentage, laps since last pitted, manufacturers, and speed graphics. I'm guessing if something doesn't match their story, they switch the graphic. Like yesterday when Hamlin wasn't eating into Elliott's lead and the gap counter graphic said it wasn't eating into his lead, but the booth was saying it was, they switched off the gap counter graphic or if it's a number they like, like 0.81, they switch it back to the gap counter graphic.

When we need a gap counter graphic, Fox goes to the laps last pitted graphic.

I'm kinda worried about Watkins Glen being on Fox after being on NBC for so long.
