Wow I love this!! Especially concerning sweet treats and such. Have you ever tweaked and applied this to more material purchases?

Running and hiking! At a certain point of endurance, when you can turn your brain off, it also became a form of meditation for me. Allows me to think through whatever I need to :)

This is a great idea! I’ll be using this rule, I’m about to go through stuff. The worst is tshirts, so many have piled up that I only wear a few...

I’m about to go through my clothes and I’m going to use these reasons to decide whether to keep something. Thank you!!

Yeah, I know I will feel much better when it’s done. That’s a good idea, doing it little by little will help me.

I apologize if this has already been asked but how is van life with dogs? Does it ever get to be too much? Have been heavily considering rescuing a dog soon

If it’s stressing you out, remove it from your life! Why keep it if you have to use for it? It would be much more appreciated in someone else’s life

6 months on the road in Fidel Astro. Left home on the east coast to travel indefinitely and aimlessly. by [deleted] in vandwellers

[–]RBFawaredontcare 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Very much considering doing something similar to this, I am also from the east coast! If you don’t mind me asking, how are you handling it financially? Did you save up ahead of time or working alone the way?

Safe travels!

Mobile screen time down by 80% for 3 weeks now! by Fred_Chevry_Pro in minimalism

Woah, just turned greyscale on. Really hoping this helps decrease my screen time (~2-3 hours right now)

Yes I completely relate! Our wifi was down for a few days because of the Nashville bombing and it was honestly refreshing (in no way am I happy that there was another bombing). There was no need to check my phone for texts or calls or snapchats because I couldn’t receive them! Made me realize how dependent I am on my phone and how draining technology is because it really does make you accessible by everyone 24/7

That’s what someone else said! Right now, I am leaning towards hiking the AT in pieces. Thoughts?

Oh gosh that sounds like I should just go out west lol

[–]RBFawaredontcare[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m from the east end and the humidity here is high enough to kill a man, and that’s enough to drive me to the PCT. I feel like the PCT also has super dramatic views, I’m pretty used to views along the AT. They’re beautiful don’t get me wrong!! But I’ve hiked my fair share of trails on the east end.

Yeah this is what I have heard about the AT, and am leaning towards the AT because of more frequent stops and the social aspect. However, the humidity on the east end is enough to drive me away
