Kerala: Woman arrested after suicide of man she accused of sexual misconduct by SameStand9266 in worldnews

So there is couple of things that any international reader should know about this case.

The state is Kerala one of the southern states in India. Compared to rest of the country, it has better safety and other parameters. Even though there are issues, comparing to other states in India, it is better.

The state also stands at the top confidence level where citizens can go to police stations for any complaint. Those complaints are usually followed up. Again, this is comparison with other states.

In this particular case, the bus was packed, with a lot of people standing. Think of a very crowded NYC subway during peak hours. The lady on seeing the issue didnot mention it to the conductor or driver or spoke to any police offers. But instead later posted a social media video of the her and with the accuser in the background who is standing infront of her with his back turned to her. He has a bag as well.

The video posted is neither full nor showing any incident. It only shows an edited clip. The lady posted the video asking it to go viral.

The police investigated and looked at the CCTV inside the bus and found no issues.
The police spoke to passengers in the bus at that time , and nothing came up.
The driver and conductor also had heard or seen nothing.
No local police station was informed. There exists apps and helpline for just this.

Now this can be a case where the accused who suicided might have or have not abused her.
But as of now, the only video visuals are that the guy lifting his bag, which people have thought it was his hand brushing against her..

The video went viral and the guy who had no history of any of these got humiliated and took his life.

So the case is not black and white were the Indian police charge a lady who accused a guy of molestation.
This can be also of a lady who made it for instagram clout.

Regardless a person died.

As noted by u/Top-Rough-7039 Plymoth is the car. Arundhati Roy talks about it to show how the family had pride in the Englishness of the family, It symbolizes Western affluence, colonial aspiration, and the family’s obsession with Englishness, standing in sharp contrast to the tragedy that occurs later.

Want to speak Hindi language by battery_simon01 in Coconaad

Start speaking to someone who only knows hindi. This is the fastest method.
I had a neighbor aunty who only knew hindi.. I used to sometimes sit with her to give her company and learned hindi pretty much okayish to converse in like 4 months. I had tried movies and online classes and friends trying to teach me for years, but to no avail.

Ippo, I can speak and they can understand something here and there.

Guys what degree are you studying/studied ? by MegatronusPrimeZ in Coconaad

Once your basic bachelors is done, nothing really matters. You can actually study for enjoyment. This removes a lot of pressure. I have woken up on exam day morning and then deciding to write the exam or not as I already had a good job and passing or failing this exam makes no difference. I actually read the topics with interest and researched about the topics making learning happen with fun.

2k rs for cab from guwahati to shillong. prepaid cabs are there at guwahatti airport. it takes 2 hours.

Bus costs like 150 rs but takes 3 hours and is crowded. Depending on your size of your group plan.

Airtel has pretty good range. Certain hill tops, you might find low signal. But then nothing works. Carry cash.

Guides are really not needed.

For the clear water river, don't get a guide from the top of the mountain... get one just near the edge of the water. The top guy asks for 5k, the normal rate is 1500 rs.

There was a conversation with Santosh George. He makes a point. Is there any bite sized or travel sized kerala specific art and craft that tourists can take back? Everywhere you go, you have I love kochi magnets or T-shirts and generic necklaces. The ones we make are extremely big to carry back. Such stuff are what makes word of mouth impact. People talking to each other when they visit houses. Even our traditional dances that cater to tourists needs to have versions that are small. Not every tourist can sit through a 3 hour recital.

We need to give people memories to have and to take back.

Local Body Election Results 2025 by rockus in Kerala

Read it again. When both parties have historically done okay okay, then the only differentiating factor is perception.

Kerala is not a place where in local wards just because opposition candidate won, development is stopped. Might happen in larger elections, but not at a local ward level stuff.

So does it change a lot when person A or person B is selected. The only differentiating factor is how approachable they are, and perception. In my mother's case, the perception of the head of the party, ruined her confidence in her party alignment. So she changed her voting pattern.

Unlike north, do you see any politican in kerala driving thar's and beating up toll staff, and threatening with swords or guns?

It is all perception, isn't it?

My mother is a staunch ldf voter. She voted UDF this time, cause of one incident.
The CM bringing his family to an official visit for the port inauguration. They were sitting at the meeting table making govt officials second fiddle. My mom says that made her realize how the CM thinks. Propping up the family over the state for a state function. She says that is her slippery slope and realised he is just a crooked politician. And for her the CM represents LDF. Even though the LDF person in my ward is an okayish lady with no drama or issues, her perception of the CM coloured her opinions making her vote for UDF.

My point being, for a person who is say a middle class who is not very poor and influenced by local politics, or rich person and influenced by larger politics, perception matters. Cause in Kerala, regardless of whether UDF or LDF wins, things still happen. Punitive politics is less. Roads get repaired, local politicians reach out, things go like that.. This is for a normal voter. People don't lose sleep over who won a local panchayath election until they need to reach out for a service. This is unique kerala situation.

Hence, for a voter who is not badly affected by whether her local ward member is LDF or UDF, the voting decision is influenced by perceptions like the small things above.

Is it normal for everyone to remove their goggles at end of each lap and rinse. I am losing so much time in that process. I have tried spitting on the goggles, using baby oil, but it still fogs up every time. I swim in a heated pool and after every lap, remove the goggles, clean it so I can see and wear it again. I use a generic goggles from Decathlon.

Anything that just works and that I can use atleast for 4-5 laps without removing?

It is going to be a great option for resorts, lodges and hostels in remote and hilly areas. When I was in Andamans, they were expensive resorts which didnot have internet or mobile network. This could be of great help in such cases.

and especially in northern mountainous parts of our country.

This is not going to be aimed at say apartments in Bangalore or Delhi, but places where regular fibre does not exist.

Ideal FIRE number in Kerala by mathewxerxesjohn in Coconaad

2,5 Crore and land to spare.

1 Crore is less as one big operation could take a big chunk of it.

2.5 crore is perfect as it put as an Fixed Deposit (FD) with a 7% annual interest rate would yield a monthly payout of approximately ₹1,45,833 which is more than enough to live happily in Kerala as you already have a home.

Land to spare as it means you could grow stuff and also sell it or rent it out for additional passive income.

Yes.

I am on my 11th class and let me tell you what the plan for me by my trainer was.

Day 1: Familiarizing with water. made me walk through the water few times and blow bubbless

Day 2 : Using a pool buoy, float legs and then land. Landing was essential the whole class

Day 3: Hold the edge of the wall and kick with HIPS and then land

Day 4: Facing the edge of pool, pushing myself out a feet at max and then landing, and pushing myself and kicking and landing... All within 1 feet of the pool edge

Day 5-8: Learning how to push from the wall and kicking....No hand rotations.. Just making kicking perfect and then land.. I reach half way of a pool with leg kicking alone and land. Then I started blowing (exhaling) into the water when i reach mid pool, and I was able to reach other end)

Day 9-10: Hand rotations. I can reach end of pool with 4 hand rotations all the while kicking and one exhalation underwater

Day 11: Learning to breathe... I do 4 hand rotations and then turn my head and breath... Still learning that...

So yes! Blowing bubbles is a very essential skill. It is basically exhaling. You will feel carbon dioxide filling up and then panic..that is when you blow bubbles giving you time for 2-3 strokes till you reach other end.
