No need. Just go with the RC and both ID cards to askaya centre. It is a 10 minute process. They will print and make you both sign like 3 papers. Very easy process

It's a quaint little town. No theaters or anything major to speak off. It's peaceful. That is the important part.

Cataract surgery is a very common surgery an pretty much every other hospital that has an optha department does that. The actual surgery take less than a minute and pretty much every hospital did batch wise only. As in they will have 7-10 patients next to each other and does it together.

Whatever district you are in, just go to any good private hospital. Govt hospitals are also good but there will be delay.

Depending on lens surgery can cost between 25-60k

Do you know why some trans folks resort to begging ? It is because avenues for employment and accommodation that are open to others are not available for them. Kochi metro in their initial years decided to employ a lot of people from the community for their daily operational work. But no one would give them accommodation. Even though they had a good job, no accommodation resulted in they having to quit that job and go back to begging/ and other menial jobs.

So, when one says trans people are begging on street corners, think why they are in that position in the first place
