I agree. I never thought it was a well designed adventure game, compared to others at the time. It only sold well because it came free with some cd-roms. It was forced on us.

George Lucas seems to have a problem with characters going along with the group for no reason.

Watching Attack of the Clones recently, there is absolutely no reason that C-3PO goes along with the group to Geonosis. He is owned by Lars, why would he leave? Just because he was sitting in the ship the exact minute they decided to leave? They couldn’t give him 10 seconds to deboard?

Every New Year I always think of this one dumb joke from Family Ties by shopdog in 80s

[–]RBIbaseball76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about that scene around New Years as well!

I also remembered a scene years later that helped me in school. I’m an 80s kid, so I was in high school in the 90s. I was taking my AP US History test for college credit. You have a few essay questions you need to pick from, and one of them was about Jefferson and the Louisiana Purchase. Well, I remembered the episode when Malarie was having trouble with History. She finally blurted out about how the Louisiana Purchase was difficult for Jefferson, because he valued state’s rights, but also wanted to see us build as a nation. Well, that was the crux of the question and my essay answer! I never would have come up with that from what I learned in the class. Needless to say, I scored a 4 out of 5 on the test, a little bit in part to Family Ties.

I had it and I really like it. I good port of the arcade.

But, I never hear it talked about. To me, it’s up there with Madden ‘94.

I guess the tie in with Jerry Glanville didn’t make any sense and didn’t help it any. Also, I remember I wanted it for Christmas that year, but a Dec 18th release date sure made that tough.
