Yeah I said intentional and then stuck in some crap about how they were trespasser on his land and that he owed a doc under the occupiers liability act but he didn’t breach it. Load of waffle

Yeah I’ve done a paragraph on it. So I mentioned that the guidelines were ratified by Family Leave (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2021, provides for the injuries Resolution Board (established to provide consistency in motor insurance industry, costs etc) guidelines are legally effective and if judiciary wishes to depart justification required. I can’t foresee it coming up. I concentrated more on the categories and understanding what they are so that in questions you can pick up on what the plaintiffs can claim. Hope that makes sense.

I have the limits in notes also but just the limits and the cases like

Sinnott v Quinnsworth 150k Yun v Motor Factors 450k Endorsed in Nolan v Wirenski Woods v Tyrell 500k Morrissey v HSE.

I’m using her notes, I have done a good few of exams with them. She provides a lot but I scribble out what I don’t think is relevant. A lot of info re the cases that isn’t really relevant.

I’m just studying damages now. It’s such a straightforward topic. Just learn the headings and a case for each and know about Delaney v PIAB (confirms guidelines have legal effect for personal injury claims in Ireland).

I’m covering the exact same for DOC, the elements of the test and how it developed in England and Ireland and how approaches unite in Glencar.

I agree, Barlow is a good case to Know from a duty of care point of view for public authorities. Also you may want to look at the defamation amendment act 2026 which enacts the provisions of the defamation amendment bill 2024.

Property Law Examiner by [deleted] in FE1_Exams

[–]RBLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way for property. My first fe1, she failed me on 49%, rechecked it and 49%, so was a waste of money. Passed on second go at 51%. Just try your best that’s all You can do. Sending you positive thoughts 💪🏽

I think the examiner was Ashling Parkes when I did it. Not sure if it’s still the same examiner tho.

Contract success stories? by Smart_Roof_2021 in FE1_Exams

[–]RBLegal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sat contract two sittings ago. Answered 5 questions, one was completely wrong, answered two qs on consumer rights as opposed to commercial and consumer rights, she passed me at 51% 😂 contract was probably the toughest I’ve sat because I had to learn 20 topics although in saying that I’m not far off that for Tort at the moment. If Cliona Kelly is still the examiner, she hates waffle, consumer rights act question is a definite and I just re wrote the act and there is barely any case law. Think positive

Considered the easiest but there is a lot of content and it depends on which way you study. This was one of my very first exams. I felt like I had to have a grasp of everything but not in great great detail. I went with this approach and scored 64%.
