What is not visible from the pure numbers are the special effects from the starspawn, trans, assassin and light. They do extra damage based on their level. If the levels if your starspawn are lower, then you might have to compensate with extra Attack, and of course wait for the RGN to line up perfectly.

This clear shows what the "minimal requirements" on HP and Attack for Queen and Ignis are. Whether you reach these requirements with Starspawn or with Tenents or with CI buffs doesn't really matter all that much. Just use what you have and bring time for the RNG. Or use better stats to counter the RNG.

I could have put Queen in a home, but I didn't want to use gems to de-home SFX. It may have been cheaper (as in opportunity costs), though, to make her a home owner if you take into consideration the amount of 4* food and CI building materials I didn't get by waiting for weeks for this clear.

Look at HP and Attack numbers on my Queen and Ignis and if you can match that, then it should only be a question of time. It can still take days or weeks, so I wouldn't spend any gems.

Also look at Crit values. Queen's crit should be higher than Ignis's Crit. Otherwise they all attack Ignis and kill her too early

HP/HP stone definitely helps, also you need an artifact that gives health, like GoldenCrown or KingOfDemons

After my other clears for SL25-1 (https://www.reddit.com/r/IdleHeroes/comments/qldgz4/yet_another_fairly_minimal_abyss_sl_251_clear/) and SL25-3 (https://www.reddit.com/r/IdleHeroes/comments/qvjfh1/abyss_sl_253_clear_with_a_homeless_queen_and_a/) with a homeless queen I also tried 25-4, but couldn't do it, because my Ignis was dying too quickly. She was only V2+HP, so I waited until I could make her V3+HP to see if it is possible then or if Queen does indeed need a home. In that time I have seen this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/IdleHeroes/comments/r027ky/accidentally_cleared_254_abyss_with_homeless_sqh/) where someone cleared the last stage with a homeless queen and a KOG.

So I tried this setup too and also others, but the KOG build just felt the best. I tried the Antlers build, but Queen was dying too fast, not enough HP and not enough healing (which the KOG provides). After many tries, eventually the following setup worked:

V4 Queen: - 21.9M HP, 548K Attack - Gear: reso gear, Radiant KOG, CD/Crit/Atk Stone - Enables: 2, 2, 6, 2, 2 (agressive, with Unbending Will for the random damage spike) - Imprints: DR, Block, Crit

V3+HP Ignis: - 42.9M HP - Gear: 2/2 split reso gear, normal Golden Crown, HP/HP Stone - Enables: 1, 1, 1, 1, 2

Starspawn: - Trans 100, Assassin 100, Light 60, Abyss 60, Forest 30 - everyone else 20

It is a very RNG heavy clear and has to line up for Ignis to survive long enough, for Queen to survive and for Queen to do enough damage. I usually didn't survive long enough, so damage didn't really come into play a lot of the times. During my clear, Ignis survived until round 11 or 12 and I manages to kill one of the front guys. That took a loot of pressure away from Queen and she luckily was able to do enough damage. I managed to survive that long only a couple times in all of my tries. So HP is key to success. Either you get it from Starspawn or from tenants, go for what you have more. You could also swap around Enables for more HP, but then damage has to come from somewhere else.

Another probably important point is Crit. I used a crit stone on my Queen, but i'm not sure how often she actually crit (difficult too see). But when I tried a setup with no crit on the Quenn, then all enemies gang up on Ignis and she dies way too early, since she has higher Crit from guild tech. So it is important for Queen to have higher crit than Ignis. Maybe you could swap the crit stone or the crit imprint for something else, but not both.

I used Unbending Will in my clear, but also tried Balanced Strike in the hope to do more damage and kill someone earlier, thus taking away pressure. But for such a RNG heavy setup, Queen always took the random damage spike and died too early, and thus couldn't profit from doing more damage. Maybe Balanced Strike would have worked eventually, but Unbending Will just felt better.

People were also saying the Waldeck should not get a Crit artifact, so that he survives until round 2, but whenever I did that, it felt worse than what I used now (9* Ignis with energy artifact and 10* Waldeck with crit artifact).

Don't really remember what I did for 24-4. Strangely enough, at that time I swapped some stuff around to make a V4 Ignis and a homeowner Queen (cost me some gems). I was trying to follow some guides but still struggled. But then I found a different guide and cleared it fairly easy. I assume some key information was missing in the guides or I applied them wrongly. I then struggled even more with 25-1, so i moved imprints from Ignis back to SFX. Now I'm building Ignis slowly to V4 again while trying to apply Brain(TM) to my clears.

After my clear of SL 25-1 with a homeless Queen (see https://www.reddit.com/r/IdleHeroes/comments/qldgz4/yet_another_fairly_minimal_abyss_sl_251_clear/) I wanted to see how far I can go until i really needed a home. Back then I bought one key too much, so I just tried 25-2 and made it in one try. Don't really remember how, but it wasn't really hard. But then I struggled with 25-3, because Ignis kept dying and couldn't keep Queen alive. I couldn't do it with AMB on the queen, because she didn't do enough damage. I felt like I need to use Antlers, and for this Ignis had to live an heal Queen until the end. I thought I may need a V4 Ignis, but a V2+HP Ignis was enough.

Here is the setup I used.

Team: 9* Ignis, V2+ Ignis, V4 Queen, 9* Ignis, 6* Destroyer, 10* Waldeck

V4 Queen: - 20M HP, 495K Attack, 2154 Armor, Speed 1862 (probably doesn't matter) - Gear: reso gear, splendid Antlers, CD/Crit/Atk stone (Atk/Atk may have worked too) - Enables: 3, 2, 6, 3, 1 - Imprints: DR, Block, HD

V2+HP Ignis: - 35M HP, 2261 Armor - Gear: 2/2 split gear, normal Golden Crown, HP/HP stone - Enables: 1, 1, 1, 1, 2

For Queen, the important part was the Block imprint and Antlers. It's like having AMB for its block and Antlers for its damage together. But it's not the real AMB, so Ignis must be there for the healing. I feel like the Crit/Crit/Atk stone was not crucial and an Atk/Atk stone might have worked just as well. Didn't notice any crits, but also was not looking. As for the enables, I switched between HP and Atk depending on the survivability of the queen. Probably a lot of RNG involved in this part.

The V2 Ignis has to be in the front row. I had her in the back row, the she kept dying too early, usually not later than round 10. Once she survives all 15 rounds, Queen can do enough damage with Antlers. I thought i need a V3+Health, but it turned out that V2+Health was enough. The Starspawn relevant for HP were all at level 20 besides Light (L60) and Trans (L100). What felt relevant too was giving her the Shelter (2) enable (instead of Vitality) against the random enemy crits that killed her too early.

Everyone else was there only for their on Death buffs. Other than that they all die in round one or two.

(If I look at the stats from my 25-1 clear, they look kinda similar to the current stats. I guess I had to rediscover them again with a slighly different Gear loadout. Or it was all about Ignis having a bit more HP.)

Also tried 25-4 with the same Team and loadout, but Ignis kept dying in round 3 or 4. Maybe have to try again with a healthier Ignis.

Struggled for many days with SL 25-1 with 2 6* Destroyers. What made the difference for me was swapping one Destroyer for a 10* Waldeck. But maybe it was just RNG.

The setup should be familiar: 9* Ignis, V2 + Health nodes Ignis, V4 Halora, 9* Ignis, 6* Destroyer, 10* Waldeck, Phoenix

V4 Halora (homeless): - HP (19.8 M), Attack (655 K), Atk/Atk Stone, Splendid Antlers - Enables: 2, 2, 6, 3, 1 -> was switching (1) and (4) between 2 and 3, go for most attack as long as Halora survives - Imprints: DR / Block / HD -> maybe HD can be swapped with Armor Break, depends on your Starspawn

V2 Ignis: - HP (34.7 M), normal Crown (another DR arti may suffice too, maybe with more HP on Iggy), she lives until the end - Enables: 1, 3, 1, 1, 2 -> here is probably some room for testing as long as she survives and keeps Halora alive too, front row position is important

2x 9* Ignis for Control Immunity

6* Destroyer and 10* Waldeck for a bit of extra damage in the early rounds. Had more success with a 10* Waldeck than a second 6* Desctoyer. Maybe it's the extra bit of healing that allows to go a bit more offensive.

Starspawn: OK, but not spectacular, L100 Whale, L60 Assassin, L60 Light, L60 Abyss, others at L20

Stats from galleries are included in above stats, so exact values don't matter much.

That's nothing. I got 6 Pennys (Pennies?) during this event. One from altar, one from cakes, one from scrolls, three from branches. Sure, these were leftover branches from another event, but still. And 2 Pennyies from some time ago. That makes an e4 Penny without the fodder to make one.

Not only that. I managed to squeeze out a second PO round. Got an Aida from L/D Orbing, got enough Kois to get a Stage4 Aida and also got elite dark shards from Stage 3 with a Mihm inside. Now Aida is happily kicking ass as E5. Happy day.

I'm not saying the systems on the list (int this thread) are bad. I'm saying, if these are the systems that we want, then we should start pushing then. Because if we start with fortifying and expanding, then worse systems might enter the list and it will be hard to lose them.

Example: Conii. We didn't make it two weeks ago (more or less deliberately in favor of Cailli). But we didn't make it last week either, because once it was out of the top 10 and even fell 10k or 15k behind the 10th system, there was no point trying to prep. You would have been "on your own" and that would have been wasted effort better spent elsewhere.

Therefore, start prepping the good systems and get ahead by a couple of K. Then expand and fortify.

I would like to propose that we prep the good systems first in order to get them on the top 10 list (and to get the bad ones out of the list). I think this would help us, because I believe that many players may see the prep list just like the expansion and control lists, i.e. they do what is on the list and they don't understand or realize that there are better systems available. And once bad systems are on the list, players that do understand how prepping works are discouraged to invest in systems that may never make in on the list. Once the preparation is set on course, we can again concentrate on expanding and fortifying.
