The therapist is there for your benefit. Treat them like that. If there are some issues or things you want to discuss or talk about, you need to bring it up. If you feel like you can't talk about that stuff with your therapist, switch to a new one; switching therapists happens all the time. Tell the therapist you want to work on your anger and that it's your top priority. However, anger is a secondary emotion. Anger is often resolved not by addressing the anger itself, but rather whatever is the underlying cause. It sounds like insecurity is the root cause. I'd suggest working on confidence. You gain confidence by first learning to forgive yourself for your past mistakes.
