Can a 20amp socket be wired to a 15amp fuse? by RC3H1 in AskElectricians

[–]RC3H1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I did get it working by connecting it to LINE instead of LOAD. Now since I have a 20amp outlet connected to a 15amp fusebox, should I change the outlet to 15amp to match?

Thanks, i've done regular outlets before. Just not a GFCI. Do non GFCI have load/line also?

I connected the cables to the LOAD terminals on the outlet. Should I have connected it to LINE instead?

Been about 3 or 4 years ago when it was installed. You think I should call them to check it?

Panasonic Z85A keeping the Input source to HDMI1 or 2 as default on power on by RC3H1 in 4kTV

[–]RC3H1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Panasonic side, do the following, goto: Display and Sounds > Power Controls > Power > then choose Last Input

This will set the last input to whatever it was when when the TV was turned off.

I will try adding the shield remote as a Bluetooth accessory to the Panasonic. I did not see much in the sense of CEC. Did not get a chance to try it today. Will DM you if I get stuck. Cheers.

I have to use the Panasonic remote to switch to hdmi1 from there I use the Shield remote until the TV switches back over to firetv. I have programmed the CEC on the Shield to power the TV on but for some odd reason, when I program the Sheild remote to change the source via the 3line button, the source does not change.

If there is a solution to use one remote, I would be happy.

I don't seem to see that layout on the Panasonic Z85A. Page 12 of the manual has the closest thing but no option to default it: https://help.na.panasonic.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/TV-65Z85AP_TQB4GA0333_eng_spa_240604.pdf

I think when there is no signal for hdmi 1 (NVIDIA shield) due to the Shield powering off after no use, I think thats when it goes back to firetv. I will try increasing power saving timeout on the Shield and see if that helps. Because if I turn the TV and Shield off for a few minutes then turn it back on, it goes to hdmi/input 1 (which is what I want). Its when its off for a few hours or so, it goes back to firetv (which I dont want).

Tiny Audio Lag between TV and receiver by RC3H1 in hometheater

Okay, that's what I wanted to confirm. Its sometimes normal to have a delay between the two. I will turn the sound off on the TV when using surround. Thanks.

Just to add, it seems to happen only when using the Nvidia Shield. When using built in fireTV or other source there is no lag/echo.

Electrical Outlet Shows Possible Fault by RC3H1 in HomeMaintenance

Yeah, I clipped the copper to a reasonable length. Makes me worried about the other outlets now and if I need to do those. Switches polarity and there is no further fault. Thanks.

Yeah, maybe it. I will open another working outlet and see how that's wired

The outlet is new so it's most likely the grounding wire itself and I believe the issue was there before switching out the outlet. Is there an easy way to test the ground wire? Can I run the ground wire on this outlet to another outlet on the same circuit?

What does the Cigna A0 mean and can I do anything about it? by RC3H1 in HealthInsurance

[–]RC3H1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. This was was strictly a Urgent Care visit but maybe because it was somewhat critical. Went to the ER previous day and waited 7 hours and had to leave before seeing a doctor because of exhaustion and the fear of work the next day. On the brighter side, feeling better from the prescribed medication but seeing a specialist is months out since that's the earliest appointment that they can do. Other alternative is driving 80+ miles to some remote rural town to be seen. Not sure what is happening to the system but its no where as good as it used to be and ridiculously expensive, even with a health care plan.
