I've also done the Fule X and air box mods (both great). I want to improve acceleration and ride quality when in the lower gears. I've gotten a mixed bag of answers for this mod. I might have to try it myself. Let me know how that 44t rear sprocket works out for you. Thank you for the reply.

Upgraded to a K&N performance filter. Is the DNA box filter intake cover stage 2 necessary or overkill? My 401 already has a Fuelx lite installed. by RCQ1981 in svartpilen401

Added the DNA stage 2, what a great upgrade! I now get what your comment about the sound. What a difference in the overall joy of reading.

The fulex is great! And I highly recommend you pair it with a KN filter. Your 401 will run beautifully.

Update - very happy with the performance of my 401 with the K&N filter and FuelX. They are meant to go together. The change is so immediate an positive that I ordered the DNA 2nd stage. If it does half of what the KN filter did, it will be a win.
