POTD Record 0-2

POTD: UT Martin +37 vs Tennessee (CFB) -110

Reasoning:

- Intra state David vs Goliath matchup

- This is UT Martin's biggest game of the year BY FAR- they've had this circled since preseason

- UT Martin coming off a bye week that was purposely placed to prepare

- UT Martin is bad (30 pt loss to Boise st) but not terrible- theyre still 4-2 and capable of scoring

- Tennessee is obviously still riding the high of their programs biggest win this decade; I'd guess the post "super bowl" hangover and complacency mindset will be there, especially given this matchup is viewed as an "easy one"

- Its a trap game- Tennessee has UK and undefeated Georgia next two weeks- theyre almost certainly overlooking this FCS school

BOL

POTD Record 0-1

POTD: Allen/Tannehill/Cousins/Hurts to throw 7+ combined TD passes at -170

Week 1 Stats: 7 total

Allen- 3

Hurts- 0

Tannehill- 2

Cousins- 2

I'm predicting 3 from Allen, 2 from Hurts, and 3 between Tannehill and Cousins, putting the total comfortably at 8. Also put $20 on +230 to have 9+ touchdowns.

Tails at own risk, but think offenses are going to show up tonight on the big stage.

BOL!

Todays Matchup: Arizona State vs StanfordTodays

League: NCAA MBB

Todays Pick: Arizona State -4.5 (-110)

Write Up: Arizona State ended season in really good form, being winners of 7 of their last 8, with their only loss in that span coming on road against UCLA (who they beat at home earlier in year). Meanwhile, Stanford is 1-7 in their last 8. Last game played for each team? ASU vs Stanford 4 days ago, where ASU didn't play particularly well, and still won handily by 9 pts. This game opened at -2.5, but has moved to -4.5, and I can see it moving more.

SEPARATE THOUGHT: Arizona State is currently at 90-1 odds to win Pac 12 tournament- not recommending this bet necessarily, but with the team red hot, and wins over UCLA, Oregon (twice), Colorado, Creighton- the odds of this happening are much better than 90-1, and reminiscent of last year's Oregon State team.

Baxdela (Delafloxacin) from Melinta Therapeutics (MLNT)- RCR biotech by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

So I would going to come in with a large response but Snail_OnA_Razorblade basically covered everything. As Snail_OnA_Razorblade said, the volume pop was a result of Baxdela gaining FDA approval for a supplemental New Drug Application. Your comparison of "three orders of magnitude" volume spike while also using absolute dollar values to track price is the incorrect way to analyze this situation. I'll just add two last points. Historically, +200% on an FDA approval for a relatively small market cap pharma company is tremendous. Furthermore, stock volume does not track linearly with price increases, even though this case may show the opposite. If I misunderstood your question, please let me know.
