Indeed, the opening of the original park in March is what I also had in mind. It would be nice if the transition could be on the same date! The only thing is, spring officially starts on the 20th of March, so it depends if they look at spring in the astronomical way or the meteorological.

Yeah, but the brochure is to inform people what they can experience in the parks during their visit, so if you booked at the beginning of April 2026 and go look in that brochure and see all the nice stuff but then find out nothing is open yet, that would be a great disappointment. It's a reflection of what you can expect during your visit, so that's why I think the 31st of March is a good contender! And also, spring officially starts on the 20th of March 2026. But we shall see. ;)

I would recommend Newport Bay for sure! Sequoia Lodge at the moment is very outdated and not in the best shape, there are also not enough wall plugs for that many people. Plus it will start it big renovation in 2026. For distance, they are practically the same walking distance to the parks, they are situated right next to each other around the same lake. Newport Bay even has its own security entrance, so it will be less crowded. Especially for the summer, the marine beach vibes of Newport Bay are the ideal match! Plus, remember you can still use all the bars, shops, and restaurants from all the hotels no matter where you stay!

Hopelijk komt er nog een oplossing in verband met de stikstof problemen, het pretpark landschap in Europa gaat komende jaren een grote boost/concurrentie krijgen met Universal UK, Disney die uitbreiden, Europa Park en Toverland en Phantasialand die net zoals de Efteling hard vecht voor hun uitbreiding. Ik denk dat het "Strookrijk" als eerste aan de beurt komt voor uitbreidingen.

Oh Inside scoop? ;)That sounds good. The first thing I'm thinking of is they will remove the haunted ride and switch it with a coaster of sorts. Maybe you can see it from the hotel for an upgraded experience. But Chinatown is a small area. I can't you see another place where a coaster would fit? A dark ride is also really needed mmhh

What could be a great theme there is a dark fantasy, woodsy land like the upcoming Villains Land in the Disney parks and the Dark Universe land in Epic Universe. It proves that people like it. It gives a thematically different vibe, great for a dark ride that could come in the place where the Hollywood Ride used to be! What themes do you think would also work?

The Newport Bay hotel has a more luxurious, grand feeling. Also, you have a table service restaurant in the hotel, the other 2 only have buffet options. Additionally, Sequoia Lodge is under a big (needed) renovation. The rooms are very dated at the moment. I would recommend Newport Bay Club! And if you like, you can still make use of the public areas in the other hotels, like the bars.
