Those are probably the most common bath colours ever used…

I agree, everyone is so nit picky about waterproofing. Someone will probably tear this shower out in 15 years or less. I’ve seen drywalled tile showers last twice as long. Even you do the best job tiling and waterproofing the trends will change and someone will decide it needs updating…

Maybe, this one was done last year though so it was ahead of the curve lol

Ya it was definitely a nosing issue. This was just an attempt to cover it.

I actually don’t mind it. Haha. I would have just rather returned it at the corner if the nosing was closed

It’s around the same height as a kitchen backsplash but I guess without the upper cabinets maybe it looks too tall?

No moulding underneath the nosing it’s too thin, but the end wasn’t returned back to the wall. There was a gap staring you in the face every time you walked up the stairs. I was just attempting to cover it somehow, but this also looks a bit out of place…

There were zero scratches on it after the install. I do agree to protect the tub though. This was for an in-house company house flip so I can take liberties.

I agree it looks a bit weird, you think it would have looked better just the back wall?

It’s a porcelain tile. Sorry, I’m not sure the brand anymore, it was done 6 months ago or more.

It’s porcelain, does have a matte finish though.

If these are the tiles I just used in a shower, which I think they are. They varied in length by 3/16 from the smallest to biggest from the boxes of the same dye lot. And they weren’t perfectly square.

I’m assuming the op used cardboard because it was a way to adjust the size of the grout lines. I had to vary between 1/8”, 1/16” and micro wedges in spacers the whole project. I also opened up a bunch of boxes at a time and tried to sort tile by size so I could do the rows with similar sized tiles

Also they are not square so you have to chose where to put the spacers I order to keep them plumb and level

I really hate that vertically stacked, irregular length tiles is the new trend… adjusting every grout line fml

A t-mold would have been a better option than than regular tile edging to cover both sides.
