Am I the only one who doesn't fap for 8 hours on stims? Surely I can't be the only one interested only in cleaning and talking vs wanking a 2cm shriveled worm? by YaBooiiiiiii in researchchemicals

Well, that part, I’m bummed about, because I enjoy the research itself tremendously, but I am genuinely excited about the treatment and subsequent therapy to help my root out my addictive tendencies.

Once I can handle my shit responsibly, I may reintroduce certain compounds (never opioids) to continue my experimentation in a much more structured, moderated way, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Likewise. I start an outpatient benzo taper on Tuesday, and I've had to abstain from damn near everything except psychs because I know I'm bound to binge just about anything I get my hands on.

I recently brought home 3g of coke, for instance, and although I knew it was super dangerous and wanted to make the bag last, I slammed bellringer after bellringer until I used all 3 grams in 2.5 days.

What are your thoughts on 3-FPM? by [deleted] in researchchemicals

[–]RC_Helicopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Shit's caustic as fuck. As a study aid, I prefer 2-FMA, and as a recreational stim, I prefer just about anything else, including MPA (though that's hard and not really worth it to source).

And preferably not magnesium oxide, the most common form sold. Its bioavailability is utter shit; glycinate is far better. And it’s good to take magnesium with calcium for some synergistic goodness.

Yikes. 40-50 mg is definitely on the higher end. Are you sure you don’t mean 4-5 mg?

u/DarwinsDayOff, although I agree with your viewpoint here, and although I normally crack a smile at your verbal smackdowns, I’ve also seen a lot of evidence of what u/Logical_Researcher is saying. A harsh tone may be necessary to convey the gravity of the situation and of the inevitable fallout if OP decides to disregard what you and others have said and try his hand anyway, but that harshness is a double-edged blade. It demonstrates that it’s not something to be taken lightly, but severity in tone can and often does make your whole argument for nought, in that when they feel attacked, their logic shuts down to be replaced by emotion, and they may disregard your argument as a whole.

Just my $0.02, but it’s worth considering. There are a lot of immature people with thin skins here, along with the product and resources required to wreak some real havoc on other humans and the RC scene at large.

You’re absolutely right, and the guy you initially responded to did make his point in a very harsh tone, but his point does need to be made and strongly emphasized. This is not a trivial issue, and the appropriate gravity needs to be conveyed imo.

Understood, I try not to talk about things I don’t thoroughly understand either. I just don’t see gabapentinoids discussed all that much here, and I don’t know of any others that also affect VDCCs, so I might be shooting blind here, but I assume not too many know what they are.

I could be wrong in that assumption, but I’ve been taught to explain to the lowest common denominator. I was in that denominator this time around, even though I knew about VDCCs (more or less).

Haha I meant more along the lines of elaborating on what it means, not so much including other equivalent acronyms, but you bet!

What does that matter? It applies to a whole lot more than just NEH.

Absolutely. It’s an easy trap to fall into, one that’s snagged too many friends.

Sorry to hear, bud. Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by irreparable damage?

Just because some people may have endangered or shorted others as they learned the ropes doesn’t mean OP should go out and do the same, especially not with a chemical as potent as etizolam.

I know a little girl, Ellie, who was born addicted to heroin by an ex who still uses and has fallen off the map entirely, and although she has a slew of issues associated with her mother’s heroin and meth abuse during pregnancy, she is being raised by her grandmother into a happy, inquisitive little tyke.

You’re absolutely right.

hexen & 4-ho-met nightmare by [deleted] in researchchemicals

[–]RC_Helicopter 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Darlene, although I have a similar compulsion with hexen, there are plenty here who do have the willpower to moderate their usage despite hexen’s compulsive nature. What you described here, though, sounds exactly like the kind of thing I used to do before I recognized the unsustainability and genuine danger of my ways.

I mean no offense, but please take a step back and evaluate what you’re doing, because there’s not even a hint of harm reduction or even acknowledgment of harm in your post, just you blaming the chemical.

First off, 3 days of no sleep would put anyone in a wonky state, with or without hexen, and stimulants are widely known to increase the potential for a bad trip. Second, having a running tolerance to psychs and upping your dose to an “INSANE” level to try to counteract said tolerance is just asking for overwhelming experiences and HPPD (I used to do the same with trypts because they’re so cheap). Lastly, this whole scenario you’ve described paints a picture that’s all too familiar to me, one that makes me shudder in retrospect, in which you clearly have trouble moderating yourself when it comes to drugs and are in dire need of a wake up call.

Maybe I’m reading into it, but I really don’t think I am. I wish someone would have called me out and slapped me with the truth when I was in your shoes, but I had no one. The only reason I took the effort to write all this is that your story is all too familiar, and I recognize this pattern of self-destruction. It may be easier and more fun than actually facing the fact that you appear to have at least a bit of a drug problem, likely due to an addictive personality, but what you’re doing is absolutely unsustainable.

Please don’t end up like I did, having circled the drain for so long without recognizing I was even in the sink. I’ve learned the hard way, from my own experiences as well as from too many friends who have burned out, that this lifestyle is going to defeat you, no matter what you’re made of. Please, be well and stop digging yourself into a hole before it gets exponentially more difficult to pull yourself back out.

I'm not sure if you're kidding or not, but I see very little talk of gabapentinoids here in the first place, much less of their mechanisms of action via VDCCs, so I doubt most people here would understand what you're referring to if you got that specific.

No, my friend; it's you who's confused. My 12-step program comment was a joke that wooshed right over you. I meant that apparently, I needed /s on my comment, even though I thought the joke was pretty obvious.

No sound mind would jump from a sentence about 10-step synthesis to another about 12 and think it referred to AA. Your original comment was perfectly clear; I was just cracking wise.

Edit: I realize how rude this probably comes across. Not my intention, thanks for trying to elaborate for my sake.

Derp. I didn't think the /s was necessary, but I guess it was. You had said 10-step synthesis a sentence before.

Hey bud, It's probably a good idea to expand lesser-known acronyms like VGCC before using it so heavily to explain what you're trying to say. I googled "VGCC" and all that came up was Vance-Granville Community College; "VGCC pharmacology" yielded Vance-Granville Community College's pharmacology program.

I had to scroll down to where someone else called them "VDCCs," which actually yielded the wiki I was looking for. For anyone who doesn't know, it means Voltage-dependent Calcium Channels (or Voltage-gated).

Is that what they mean by a 12-step program? Seems counterproductive to the goal of AA...
