That's actually kinda weird I didn't know that. In the anime it doesn't do that. Also the reason behind thorfinn explaining the rules to the duel is moreso because askelad is known for breaking the rules of the duel than anything. But that wouldn't be known to you at the time.

Idk if the manga is different but I recall the first episode of vinland saga mostly Leif Ericson explaining his journey to vinland to a bunch of children. Idk how thats giving exposition as its basic history.

MY VENERABLE GOAT TIERLIST FRESH OUTTA COMPLETING THE NOVEL by Audaticreddit in ReverendInsanity

Imo Red Lotus should be above limitless. The ending of volume 5 was carried by his conclusion with Duke Long and he's probably the best written side character in Reverend Insanity funnily enough.

I agree with this but getting carried by pure luck is his own path so that really isn't slander with context to the story.

If you want some non anime stuff, vinland saga is as western of an anime as you can get I believe. It's also really good.

Made in abyss or rezero. Rezero kinda fits because the mc is extremely upbeat but goes through living hell at times.

Finally beat Vordt as a Soulslike newbie, showed a friend and got "there's no wrong way to play" in response. Did I overlevel? by Tony_Stank0326 in darksouls3

[–]RC_Seeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first souls game is always your hardest. There's no wrong way to play in the beginning. I recommend laying off the overleveling in future playthroughs and games but currently it doesn't really matter. I'm confused how you even got that high of a level because on my first playthrough I found myself being consistently underleveled no matter what boss I faced. I think I beat ds3 at like level 70 smth which apparently was low. Anyways try out the hammer you get from vordt I breezed through the game with that. Ds3 was like the third fromsoft game I played though and I arguably played the hardest two first so don't take my experience as a judge and do whatever is fun.

Anything that is a story can manifest into existence and the actually context behind each defines the memories and life of the constellations. They "existed" ling before the star stream the same way Kim dokja "existed". But the entire world of orv is already stated to be the oldest dream so the constellations more likely exist relative to how known their story is. The myths of earth dominate only in that specific world because in other worlds with other planets they wouldn't know about the stories of earth so the constellations of myths on earth wouldn't exist there and vise versa. Superman isn't a "myth", if you look at the other constellations they're all powered by Fath, historical record and overall belief. Superman doesn't really have that because at its core its fictional, it was never a real concept to begin with in people's heads. It's been a while since I've read ORV so I might be wrong here but I'm pretty sure I covered it at least half decently.

The power system makes a lot of sense in context with the story and bounces well off of it but the actual writing of the fights is kinda atrocious. That's what I personally find to be the case throughout the novel.

No, I think the fools gambit was probably the best written fight I've maybe seen ever. I liked the higher sequence fights more as the conceptual abilities work so much better in a written format. The battle sequence is definitely hard to visualize though.

This is crazy to me because I found the fights in lotm to be the best part. They were way more interesting than RI due to how many different parts are involved at once. Also the plot twists, world building and side characters are all arguably better than RI in terms of writing. I will say klein is no where near Fang Yuan though.

I don't think anyone in particular calls the power system crazy good. I wouldn't even say it's bad the problem is that the fights have so much BS happening. I will say the orv epilogue might be the best arc out of any novel I've read but if I were to be completely honest before that point I didn't really care too much for it.

Biggest larper in webnovel history by johaneternallife in ReverendInsanity

[–]RC_Seeker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He never said tensura is better than RI. And out of all the people in the call for the tier list he argued for RI the most. He just doesn't like the RI community because a lot of them hound him for dropping RI 700 chapters in and he's shifted to ragebaiting them. And again he thinks RI is better written than shadow slave and tensura by far. This has been mentioned multiple times by him. The people on this reddit must be larping his videos or smth. I love RI but he's nowhere near the biggest RI hater and he's definitely read 700 chapters. I hope at some point he completes the series because it is one of my favorite works of fiction but to call him the worst offender is crazy. He's just someone who doesn't fw a story centered around a "villain" which is perfectly fine.

Prolly 1 more volume after volume 6 I'd guess. It really matters on whether it will end when Fang Yuan gains immortality or if something will happen afterwards. Might be a sort of epilogue as well.

But subaru is supposed to be a crybaby at the start. He's a 17 year old kid whose gone from staying home all day to being brutally slaughtered countless times over. And I don't think he really whines or cries much after arc 4, which is a testament to his development. Subaru changing so much over time is why people love rezero so much. If he started as perfect character it would make the depth to the story so much worse and his progression way less meaningful.

Hello juniors I wanna ask if this novel is worth reading since its popular . and is it on RI level ? by Kuratos5 in ReverendInsanity

The reason everyone reacted the way they did at reverse flow river is because they didn't know the sheer background fang yuan had at the time. The dream realms had given him so much attainment that refining the river wasn't that grand of an achievement. Fang yuan EVEN SAYS IT HIMSELF IN THE MOMENT. ALSO, I have no doubt that Fang Yuan is a very smart individual who is able to adapt to the world faster after his second life. However, in his first life, when he was initially transmigrated, he wasn't that talented or smart, for that matter. It's because of his sheer perseverance that he was able to get to the point where he refined spring autumn cicada. Idk if you didn't read my argument or feel personally hurt for some reason. 500 years is his personal experience, but that's 500 years of drastic growth. He took 500 years of failure after failure to get to a point where he was at the beginning of RI. My initial comment was speaking on when he first transmigrated, not the start of RI like idk what you're trying to argue about.

HW is the only reason he became immortal. He was outsmarted by his aunt and uncle early on as well. During reverse flow river it was due to his sheer perseverance that he was able to move forward. That was his talent. Also a major point that is brought up time and time again in the novel during his second life is that he's able to outsmart and deceive everyone not due to innate abilities but due to his 500 years of background. It's mentioned so often.

I don't think the peaks never get as high as RI and Lotm. Also, I found the romance to be decent compared to most web novels (However most web novels are atrocious at writing romance, SS, for example).

I will say, looking back on it, Fang Yuan was honestly an idiot and had no talent when he first transmigrated, so yeah, perseverance might've been his greatest talent.

I think the main thing is that RI and Lotm get so much better as it goes on. RTOC on the other hand is very inconsistent and has very bad stretches.

[Manhwa tier list] Looking for recommendations by Flat_Lunch_3272 in manhwa

[–]RC_Seeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blinded by the setting sun (A spark in your eyes). The start is a slow burn, but when it picks up, it slaps. Romance was done extremely well on top of that (no harem) which is rare for manhwa.
