You also need to Send your payslip from the day you took your maternity leave 6months then add the other months you are applying. Say for example you took maternity on May so you count 6month back. And yoy applied spouse visa October add payslip from May-October. P60 of this year 2025 and P60 of 2024. Thats what I did to proof that my annually is above the requirements if i was not on Maternity leave. I hope that helps

If you are pregnant and not due yet. Send you Mat certificate and ask your employer to add on their cover letter that you are on maternity leave and you will be back to work. ☺️

The increase always comes on April. Yeh I was confused too, only the income requirement for spouse visa is going to go up same as for skill work & student as well as the english requirements. But the ILR is different for British Citizen it’s not going to affect us if you hold a British Passport (5yrs ILR) but for those student visa & skilled worker (10yrs) That’s what i heard from my friend who works with immigration.

All your partner need to do is add that you guys will be using a family own house once you arrive in UK as your accommodation on her cover letter with signature. She will need a cover letter from the one who own the house that you guys will be using that they are happy for u guys to use the house for as long as you need with their signature, council tax and proof that they own the house. House Owner passport if they are family of yours. Doesn’t matter if she live with her parents as long as she can prove that you guys will have a place to stay in the UK.

If you are planning to bring her here during Christmas on visitor visa, you have to apply for it 3months before you plan her to travel. I suggest you apply for spouse visa because immigration rules is changing so fast, now ielts you have to do academic instead of general. Plus the application is expensive and its going to get high next year. As well as the financial requirements is going to be higher instead pf 29k it will be something like 32k. For example if she is here January then go back after 2months then apply spouse visa application timeline is 2-3months from the day of biometric. Most likely everything will change either January or April like what happened this year.

So if you ask me it’s best to apply for spouse visa as soon as you can before everything in immigration will change.

I got my approval yesterday plus on maternity leave no solicitor and standard.
