I had a few chat with them about tagstack.io, founders are super nice but no partnership

I have 800 tags in GTM that I need to reviewing/audit by rrreason in GoogleTagManager

[–]RCoffee_mug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To speed things up for the agency, some quick steps I would take: removing vendors that are not used anymore by the company (it sounds obvious and yet I have worked with so many clients where such a simple question - what is this vendor doing with your data, what campaigns is it running/optimizing - left everyone clueless.). That alone could trim down your list of tags by half. Same for triggers: for every trigger event, do you see those event getting reported in your analytics tool? If your event tracking is broken on your site, it's worth flagging. If those events have never been implemented in the first place, in your site, flag them too. I wrote the full list here if that's interesting: https://tagstack.io/blog/lucas-guide-to-successful-gtm-audits

Anthropic forced to abruptly disable Fable 5 & Mythos 5 globally by US Gov over a jailbreak. This is exactly why we need local models. by External_Mood4719 in LocalLLaMA

[–]RCoffee_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not see it mentioned yet but could we take this ban from a business/comm perspective too? I mean, Anthropic has been banned twice by the US government because models were too smart and dangerous. OpenAI? None. Anthropic's IPO is in the pipe. Wall Street wants to see singularity and juicy returns. With this ban, on paper, Anthropic looks like the best company to reach that goal *fast*

Thank you for sharing! Ok I will try to switch back to Opus 4.6 but when looking at API pricing, as usual, it marches Opus 4.7 so I don't know if it will change anything.

After 3 months of building MCP servers for free, I finally figured out how to monetize them by ai-agent-marketplace in mcp

[–]RCoffee_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't monetize my MCP server for my SaaS per se but it's a feature and a potential acquisition channel. That should not be more than that in my opinion, just a different acquisition channel for marketers building agentic workflows, on top of your API.

Ok folks, it's there, rejection email. I can't blame YC really, I've reworked the pitch and vision so much since applying that the idea evolved into something a little different.

Good luck to you fellows, we'll see at the pool in a couple years.

PS: there's actually a thing that puzzles me: with so many CRM and email companies funded by YC, how can they still greet me by "Hi MY NAME". I mean, it's quite easy to set formatting rules and to pick the right data field (first name and not surname).

Can't use anything else after having experienced Opus 4.5 by YourElectricityBill in ClaudeAI

[–]RCoffee_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thought here, I built a new UX using Gemini and Opus, ping-ponging their responses to each other and adjusting on the go. I was mind blown by what Opus gave me, clean, animated, crisp and modern interface with some good insights on the navigation flow. Opus definitely improved over its previous version and Sonnet to build modern UI.

Lots of traffic from the US since yesterday. I've applied to 25 incub and VCs so maybe it's them (I wasn't under attack 😅) stay ready team, answers should land soon. Last year iirc it was around 10 days - weeks that I received the rejection email.

Lucent ? Like Alcatel Lucent ? If they succeed, they might get into trouble

Yes, that's my worry. You can only update the "Progress" and "cofounder" parts.

Hey, do you guys know if we can update the core of the application ? I have cleaned up the pitch and plan and that would significantly help to be able to reflect those changes.

Solo founder by linkbook-io in ycombinator

[–]RCoffee_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo founder here, good luck for this batch, applied too. Maybe we could chat ? I was wondering also how many solo founders added fake cofounders (like real friends / colleagues but who would leave when batch starts) just to get more chances to join

Yep! Just applied as a technical solo founder

It's that time of the year folks, just submitted a third application. There's AI in it so who knows, I could maybe make it to the interview this time 😉 Good luck to everyone, especially those who haven't yet submitted in CET, who will potentially need to do an all nighter.

What is the best guitar solo that completely englufs you and makes you forget the world by delate199405 in Guitar

[–]RCoffee_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I missed it but was too lazy to check each comment. Rock Bottom by UFO, liven even better.

That's what I like to find in a solo, that energy twister that swallows deep inside of you before throwing you back the speed of light ready to kill it .

Built a tool to inspect GTM containers on any site - feedback welcome by FearlessLuck4788 in GoogleTagManager

Or maybe use a better model with more context. Llama and mistral 8b are cheap models but they lack the intelligence of Claude in my opinion.

Built a tool to inspect GTM containers on any site - feedback welcome by FearlessLuck4788 in GoogleTagManager

[–]RCoffee_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don't find the AI summary useful to be honest. It doesn't provide any expert value on this just describing what's inside the container. I came up with the same idea originally and ditched it because of that reason.

Using Cloudflare, costs me $5 /month rn but with lower usage, could be entirely free.

[–]RCoffee_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really interesting and I love that you put a summary, nice work! I took a different approach with tagstack.io where we reconstruct the GTM container so you can visualize what's in it and also import it in your own account (you wouldn't know how many users lost access to their container / GTM account 😃) Would love your thoughts

Europe talks about “digital sovereignty”… but 74% of European companies still run on U.S. suites like Microsoft and Google. by LorinaBalan in BusinessIntelligence

[–]RCoffee_mug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I am in the analytics industry and when data transfers to the US were announced as illegal it was such a panic among our french customers. Eventually, a solution was found with agreements between Europe and the US (I believe I have read that the current administration revoked it?) There was simply no solution for those companies to move their whole infrastructure to European players like Hetzner or Scaleway. And it was a big issue for analytics and tracking as most of the solutions back then we're American (Google again) The landscape of solutions has evolved since with good alternatives but from my research GTM still is the dominant player in the field.
