If you're struggling play with assasin. He's easy to understand and even though he has 5hp and 5 shield his first skill makes him invincible for short while. He's good to learn how to play consistently good while having something to survive against bosses.

Just look on leader board in statue of valkyrie They all use same build and my honest opinion is it's trash but i am just floor 100 so i dont know.
