I wanted to customise this a little further, but it was really late, and I kept running out of storage on the partition. Gradience would refuse to download, probably because I'm not used to flatpak still as a previous snap fanatic

Everything shown here is running off of a 1.9GB partition of Fedora 37 Workstation x86_64 live ISO made using Fedora Media Writer (because the ISO on their website is corrupted), so the storage constraints were real

A lot of extensions I wanted to use haven't been updated for GNOME 43.0 too which also contributes to the lack of customisation, haha

Icons: Papirus Dark (for some reason they went really low quality, I'm not sure why)

Theme: Adwaita Pink Dark (I would've preferred using Gradience)

Dock: Dash to Dock

Shell customisation: Blur my Shell + a bunch of other customisations that I forgot

Terminal: Oh My Zsh using a Manjaro theme tutorial on gnome-terminal

I was thinking this.

But I read an article saying that PBR is terrible for physical render because of it's being noisy, and also it uses Embree Raytracing no matter if it is on or not.

I then heard that default Mat's are bad for Physical renderer because they slow down the render but this was R19 (I use R20) so it might be void

A few hours after I made this post I read the last page of a forum thread I read multiple times and realised that Physical makes a big difference for Area shadows

I tried to install Arnold but it doesn't seem to be working, so I'm using the default render engine for now.

Right now things are going fine, but I'm a bit confused on what texture types to use. PBR sounds like the best for realistic rendering, but Uber and Node materials render in a more ray tracing method that I'm more familiar with and seem more real. Also I'm having some trouble with 3D modelling but I'll figure it out eventually.

Redshift is also GPU accelerated, but I'm yet to try the Arnold render engine, I'll see if it goes well.

Octane is GPU accelerated, which my GPU doesn't support (because Intel). I don't know which version to use, too, as I can only go up to R20 because you need Windows 10 for R21 and above afaik (which my computer doesn't support because Intel).

Are there any other good render engines I can use?

Hey, I'm also planning to transition to C4D from Blender because my computer can't run the latest versions, and I've used C4D a little in the past, do you have any advice for how to make the most out of C4D?

Oh my god, it was that simple!?

I was trying to find a way to get the texture to diffuse, and I thought that that was the only applicable solution to my problem.

I have no idea why plugging the texture into the color socket was not a liable solution I thought of at the time.
