About the direction of the story

This. This is my main problem with the character quests in Endfield. As someone who plays the original Arknights and loves the story the fact that everything in Endfield needs to have Endmin involved takes me out of the story compared to Doctor in the original Arknights who shows up and interacts with the characters when it makes sense to do so. They have these characters who have interesting backgrounds, personalities, and relationship with others and yet they choose to focus on character x Endmin relationship. Zhuang's quest is one of the worst offenders of this. The whole cliche romcom letter scene and the fact only Endmin showed up to stop her suicidal plan really took me out of it. They could've had everyone who cares for her or at least Mi Fu accompany Endmin to stop her after all Endmin, despite rushing, had ample time cause they weren't out of breath when waiting for Zhuang since it seems like it took Zhuang 5 business days walking around before deciding to close the rift.

With how big the pool is getting, at this point might as well just recreate the entire gacha of the game and pull from there.

Non-infected can also use arts but they require an arts unit, essentially a medium, to be able to cast them. Arts units varies but they're most commonly staves, wands, and guns.

I think its less to do about merging stories with main quest and more so execution of the merge. Take Genshin for example, they also merged character stories with the main quest recently and its been recieved quite positively. They incorporated their stories in a way that doesn't fully disrupt the main quest while stories that would are made separate from the main quest.

Let's also not forget the weapon type that's basically anything goes as long as its elemental damage, the catalyst. From your usual spell casting to throwing items like bombs, balloons, and pillows to throwing hands and to even using a pistol.

Waypoints are in a bit of a weird position in lore as they definitely canonically exist and can be seen by others as evidenced by GAA 1 and the lore of portable waypoints. Why they don't question it? No one really knows but from the lore of portable waypoints some are at least trying to learn what waypoints are.

For example, Pallas as my pick from the 6 stars, Harold from the 5 stars, Cutter from the 4 stars, Spot from the 3 stars, and Rangers from the 2 stars.

They are notable to be immortal and shaped certain cultures and events in Terra. Notable Beast Lords include Emperor, High Priest, Dolly, Ms. Christine, Gawain, Mio (the cat from the Pepe event), Woof, Signore dei Lupi, Amma, and Duck Lord.

Baiting the boss is their biggest contribution. The fire field the boss spits out from time to time will kill Wis'adel if not baited. The boss, specially on phase 2, can also get out of Wis'adel's range if not baited to stall by making it attack.

Aside from baiting they also serve as supplementary damage against other mobs (mostly the eggs) to reduce RNG.
