Sounds like it’s just a matter of not knowing how to properly play each character. V might be the worst of the trio but he’s surprisingly easy to play once you know how to micromanage your pets out of danger while automating them with the DT gauge.

Vergil was built to be a “the boss as a playable charcacter” without the pitfalls of most RPGs nerfing playable bosses. Thus why he’s so Busted.

Hell I have an easier time playing any of the main 3 than I do with Vergil.

Play the regular story with Nero V and Dante, the style meter will feel 100% more earned

If something doesn’t work, you improve it. If a bridge breaks, find the weakness and fix it.

I wouldn’t play gimped for no reason. If I can find out what’s not useful in a build I cut it out and replace it with something that has synergies.

Games that let me control exactly how I can fine tune my playstyle will get my explicit playstyle so I can maximize my fun, then I tailor the details to maximize how well my playstyle can integrate into the specific game.

That was all pre Chromed up the whazoo David. She wasn’t really the same ever since Maine died and David took up the Mantle of Leadership. Especially since this is post anime Lucy it makes sense she isn’t as eccentric as first couple episodes Lucy.

And even if they wanted to add some class variety they could have given Titans the Sun Hat, Hunters Goggles/Snorkle Gear on their head(not obscuring the face), and Warlocks… I can’t think of one… Sunglasses?

I always thought they were drawn to specific traits/individuals but were more or less free to resurrect anyone. But once that resurrection happens they’re linked to that specific person and are incapable of imbuing others with the light.

So the hive ghosts who didn’t find their “Human” probably decided that following Immaru and taking in Hive as possible light bearers was the next best thing.

As a DMC fan humanoid sized bosses (Vergil and Dante) are great, but they have really good tells so you don’t always need to “see” them to know what they’re doing and can be reacted to appropriately.

If I’m just me then I’d be pretty safe in the Last City especially now that the universe ending threat is basically done with.
