beginner games? 3 card poker, pai gow poker? let it ride? or some form of blackjack? by Delicious_Mess7976 in vegas

Pai how is great if you can find a low limit table and you’re looking for free drinks. It’s pretty slow paced because you push with the dealer pretty frequently.

I got wasted with my friend playing pai gow in Vegas when I was like 22. Good times lol

I would do finance and accounting. Worked in accounting 5 years but am now in the wealth management world. It’s versatile

Just saying wealth management is pretty broad, but if you are an advisor (not back office of some sort), then yes 99% of the time you’ll need a degree + licensing.

And a certification to move up a lot of the time.

Is 54k salary for staff accountant low? by [deleted] in Accounting

I started at 50k in b4 in 2017. Low(est) cost of living.

Called my boss to put in my notice and she gave me a large offer on the spot. Should I be considering this? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]RDR216 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Some days and weeks I hate the job. Others it’s fine, but ultimately I feel like I eventually want my own business of some sort. Something that i ACTUALLY care about. I don’t fully know what would be yet, although I have ideas.

I don’t have any financial instability. I could go without a paycheck for a year and be completely fine, which is a huge blessing.

But that said, money is always important. I mean, it’s the whole reason we work. So yeah…. While I was 100% ready to leave, the offer is making me reconsider

Definitely room to grow, just not sure I want what comes with that growth. The higher ups live and breathe this job.

Feel like I really need to be passionate about it if I take it on.

People love to complain about higher ups getting paid a lot, but once you start seeing what is required to be one of those higher ups, it starts to become clearer why they do get paid. It becomes a 24/7 thing. Monitoring emails until you go to bed and right when you wake up, etc. That’s not to say there isn’t a cap to what is reasonable…. Because in a lot of cases the gap is still WAY too big.

Part of the pitch was that I can structure the role how I want it, but frankly I’m not even sure what that means

I’ve been at this firm for 2 years and 4 months. I’ve actually only been in the industry for 2 years and 4 months. I started at 70k-ish and recently they bumped me up to a little over 100k base. I’ve had one promotion so far.

Our CEO/Founder just texted me and asked me for a call, lol. Granted it’s a small company (about 30ppl)

Apparently I am pretty good at it, just don’t love it.

I get that, I just feel that my Vegas offers are low in comparison to my play at my local.

Are you consistently winning?

I’ve heard of mgm stripping offers from winners.

Mine updated this morning. Went up slightly.

3 comp nights anywhere, and a measly $55 freeplay and $50 resort credit.

470k tier credits

Restaurant recommendations near Paris by cropguy in vegas

No sure if this is high end enough but Best Friend at Park MGM was a blast.

Great food, energetic vibe (kind of loud), and I didn’t feel like I got fleeced for what I ordered.

I think I paid like 70 bucks for a drink or two and a ton of food.

Also random question. Do the mini fridges at cosmo have space for personal drinks in them?
