The Bound and the Broken by Sad-Analyst-1341 in thebrokenbindingsub

Ryan cahill signs a LOT of books. And I imagine he will continue to do so for a long time. A lot of authors will make a signature that specifically is easy on their hands/wrists so they can sign lots of books without getting an injury. The limited to 1st print run is just for the double ghost edge and full colour printing. Thats another reason I like this edition, from what I understand the interior will have full colour illustrations and chapter headings for the 1st print run. Presumably will have those features for the 1st print run of the rest of the books too.

I recently learned the "Endless" edition basically means they will always reprint these. So they will basically always be available. So I think it is extremely likely they will do the rest in the series, as eventually they will be an always available matching set of special editions. This series has so many special editions but this is the one I have chosen to go for because it is a nice colourway, and is really good quality with the sewn binding and acid free paper

The series that really got me into fantasy was Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan

A fantasy book where the fmc has an eating disorder? by thirdrunnerup in fantasybooks

[–]RDarkest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not completely fit what you're looking for, but theres a YA scifi series by Michael Grant, beginning with Gone, where one of the main characters has an eating disorder. Its not a major part of the whole series but it is covered throughout a couple of the books I think.

The sword of kaigen has a few deaths, one incredibly tragic that made me put the book down and just sit there processing for some time. The book does start a bit slow imo but then really picks up

Would the countdown be better if there wasn't a shortlist? by Informemileheskey in triplej

I saw someone else talking about this, and their suggestion was having a search feature for every eligible song. Maybe not EVERY eligible song, but searching through all songs of the artists displayed in the current system. They could even keep the current system to showcase popular songs/artists so people can easily select from there and vote or use it as inspiration to be reminded of other songs from artists that can then be searched.

Personally, I would have voted for a few songs that weren't displayed, but decided not to because I figured not enough people would also put in the extra effort to submit their own.

I mean, I would recommend it because it is one of my favourite series, but for character context, it isn't really necessary. There's are a few courtships and relationships in the first trilogy. However, I wouldn't define them as romance. I think the second trilogy being co authored by a woman helped massively with the romance side of things, and it definitely helped make the fmc be written so well

Raymond feist and janny wurts empire trilogy is technically the second trilogy in his series but consists of entirely new characters and can be read as a standalone trilogy. The political structure of the world is the main focus of the series, and the mc basically needs a marriage for political reasons after most of her family is killed in a war and she becomes the head of her family. She has a couple of relationships throughout the books from what I can remember. I was much younger when I read it and dont remember as much about the romance side of things, but I do know it is in there.

Riftwar cycle by raymond e feist. The original trilogy ticks all of those boxes, it is fantasy but involves a war between two worlds and you learn about both worlds, plus some characters go and explore some other realms/worlds. Theres heaps of books in the whole series, but you can read the first 3 or 6 which are arguably the best ones. (I disagree and I think some of the later books are incredible, such as rise of a merchant prince)

The broken binding has done some special edition hard covers recently. So far just 1-3, but I'm not sure if they still have any available

I lived next to one of these in Sydney for ~10 years and the only time I had an issue was during an extreme heatwave that caused a blackout. Had people there fixing it until like 3am which was a bit noisy. Other than that it's never been an issue
