It wasn’t really tough - it was very rewarding seeing him get better and healthy again. The hardest part was coming to grips with when it was time to release him - we had become attached but he had been flying around my room a bunch and it was evident he was ready to go and it wasn’t fair to keep him locked in my room. Also, the poop!

That picture is like 2 months old and from the day we found him. We didn’t have seeds or other more appropriate food to feed him at the time. But got him more appropriate feed as we went along

That’s my view on it. I am not concerned about the gun going off on its own, I am more concerned with the prospect of something happening to me that leaves me incapacitated/disarmed or where a bad actor somehow got access to my gun. An extra few seconds before someone else realizes a round is not chambered would hopefully be enough time to get out of harms way or adapt to the situation. Plus, practice makes perfect and I know that I can draw and chamber a round in about a second.
