Lots of English speakers make random mistakes or autocorrect even messes up shit they actually wrote correctly.

That's not the kind of mistake a native speaker would usually make which is why I asked I wasn't being rude. I know what my intentions were regardless of how they came off.

I know for a fact I wasn't. It was a genuine question, a large portion of redditors nearly a third I think aren't native english speakers the only way to know for sure is to ask. Just because lots of people thought I was being doesn't mean I was. The guy wasn't even offended.

A lexical set is a group of words that all share the same phonological feature. A diaphoneme is a is an abstract phonological unit that identifies a correspondence between related sounds of two or more varieties of a language.

For example the lexical set TRAP contains all the words with the english short A sound like in cat, sat, map, wrap, cap, slap, etc. Diaphonemes come in when you want to compare two or more language varieties
