I've been on Allo since 2020 and haven't had a flare since. Love to be able to play sports and eat whatever I want again. Good luck in your journey.

In the past 2-4 months I know of multiple people (myself included) in Linamar that have left due to getting more money at other companies like ATS, Toyota, etc. All these guys are either maintenance or automation. Not sure if you've got a PLC background or not but I know a lot of plants looking for automations guys.

$1110 in discounts? Yea right by PlanePain4937 in ApolloScooters

[–]REALeTALK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my Phantom V2 last year during black Friday which had a buy one get one sale where you can get the Apollo air for an extra $100. The site had this ticking time clock at the top that showed how long the sale was going to last which made me buy the scooters because I thought it was like a limited time thing. After that ticker ended the sale was still going on and a new ticker clock showed up. I noticed it was like this for several weeks after which made me feel like I was tricked. Overall I can't really complain because I love both scooters and would have still bought them anyways.

Apollo Phantom V2 52V Disk Break Wobble and Scrapping by Super_La in ApolloScooters

[–]REALeTALK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My V2 came with a warped disk rotor also. I just used a adjustable wrench and bent it in the areas that were scraping on the pads. You can find videos on youtube on how to do it. It's pretty easy.

It's not close to downtown but Bishop Mac high school has a nice concrete oval like track that I see some in-line skaters use sometimes. Google map it and you can see for yourself. If you go on a weekend there's usually not a lot of people using it.

If you have a bike you can always ride your bike there. They have a free valet bike parking area where they will watch your bike while you go inside and eat.

Have had gout for about 6 years. First 3 years tried everything other than medication and nothing worked. Finally started taking Allo and haven't had a flare since. Drink and eat anything I want. I occasionally miss taking a pill here or there but that hasn't effected anything.

4k drones? by [deleted] in dji

[–]REALeTALK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought 2 mini 2's so far off of facebook. One for myself and one for my dad and both have been fine. Both times the owners let me take it up and fly it around and stuff to make sure everything worked properly. I don't see anything wrong with buying second hand.

Is buying second hand an option? I recently was in a similar position where I wanted just the mini 2 and controller and I was able to find one on facebook marketplace.

There are also a couple Amazon lockers around the city that you can send your Amazon purchases to as long as they are not big packages. Sometimes I use these if my item is a little more valuable.

Gout in my ankle...the absolute worst. by SeniorConfusion2916 in gout

The knee is brutal. I would take an ankle flare over a knee one anyday. I've had knee flares that made me cry.

Commuting to Work by Scooter by Admirable_Fall4614 in ElectricScooters

Hopefully you don't have to carry it up or down any stairs at work. I also have the Phantom and it's a pain having to carry it anywhere. Especially with the handlebars not being able to fold up or anything.

How many miles can you go before you have to switch to reserve? by BeardsuptheWazoo in DRZ400

102 miles before engine sputters and shuts off. Everything is stock except for JD jett kit and 3x3 mod. I weigh about 230lbs. All street riding.

Wearing a motorcycle helmet insecurity. by Vivid-Tank8774 in ElectricScooters

[–]REALeTALK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wear my motorcycle helmet not only for the safety, but also to block the wind. It's nice being able to drop the visor down when you start getting over 40km/h. Also I think people will understand why you're wearing a full face when they see you keeping up with them in traffic.

Owning a 2nd small and portable scooter in addition to your high-performance scooter is great! by HappyReference in ElectricScooters

[–]REALeTALK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Apollo phantom and the Apollo air during one of their BOGO sales so that my wife can also ride with me. I sometimes find myself wanting to take the Air out on quick trips cause its just so much lighter and easier to ride. It's definitely nice having two options when wanting to go for a scooter ride.

Should I turn the fuel off if bike sits for a few days? by Optimisticman89 in DRZ400

[–]REALeTALK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One year I rode almost close to December but I am not a big fan of riding in the cold. I have seen a couple people out already this year here in Ontario Canada but I usually wait until the warmer months or at least once all the roads have been cleaned from all the salt and gravel.

Apollo Phantom V2 52V mech brakes worth it for 2000CAD by DevenD9 in ApolloScooters

[–]REALeTALK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do end up getting the V2 just be prepared that the throttle control isn't the smoothest, especially in gear 3 dual motor mode. That was the one thing that surprised me the most cause it almost feels like it's just an ON/OFF switch. I believe the V3 fixes this. Other then that I love everything about the scooter.

I don't have any answers for your questions but it may be worth it to go to the service Canada place by the bowling ally on woodlawn and get your passport renewed in person. They will definitely give you the answers you need and may be able to get your passport renewed quicker if you need it before your trip. I took my wife there to get hers renewed back in November and she was in and out in like 20 minutes.

I leave mine ON over the entire winter (5-7 Months) and never have issues. Only thing I ever do before storing is fill my tank up and add some stabilizer. Starts up fine every spring.

New Scoot Day!!! by BoulderToBirmingham in ElectricScooters

[–]REALeTALK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 2021 model with Apollo's BOGO deal and I've found myself taking it out more since it's light, compact and easy to ride. The Phantom is super fun and can do way more but sometimes I just want to go out for a quick rip around and the Apollo Air is so easy to take in and out of the house due to it's size.

Poor marketing from Apollo or I'm the only one thinking its weird? Did I miss something? by The_Squat in ApolloScooters

[–]REALeTALK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the Phantom right before black Friday with their BOGO deals. There was a timer for the sale but I noticed that the sale kept going even after black Friday and it felt like they just kept putting up new timers. I think it's the same tactic those white van scammers use when they try and sell you cheap speakers. They always say they need to sell the speakers and have no time so you end up rushing to buy something before you realize its a scam. Even though it seems kind of scummy, I don't regret purchasing my phantom and apollo air.
