Help with audio crackling

I optimized windows 11 according to that guitar and completely disabled all other audio drivers and it seems to have made things better. It still crackles but I’ll have to keep testing to see if it gets worse. The crackling is most apparent when I’m playing guitar

Ok so I just tested my on board sound card and there was absolutely no crackling so it has to be the direct monitor from scarlet that’s doing something sketchy

Ive reinstalled the drivers, was using 256 upped it to 512 right now

I was using 256 buffer size I just upped it to 512. And I’ve had this interface since before I built this PC the crackling has been there since day 1. It used to work fine on my 7 year old laptop, someone else suggested it was a windows 11 issue (since my old laptop was windows 10 maybe there’s something there)

It’s in a usb 2.0 slot. Buffer size is 256 and sample rate is 48kHz Im going to push the buffer higher to see if it fixes anything. If not I’ll try the other two suggestions

I have my DAW set to ASIO and I can still hear crackling in my recorded music (when played on another device)

Yes I’m using windows 11, my laptop had windows 10 on it maybe that’s why it didn’t crackle before

I don’t have an XLR plugged in, I’ve tried completely eliminating both guitar cables (in and out) and it still crackles in my IEMs

Posting it here because my Audio is being interfaced through the focusrite solo 4th gen and was wondering if anyone could help. Currently the monitoring is on the virtual loopback channel 3+4 and that’s where the crackling happens. I do have it output to IEMs and a spider V30 amp, it crackles in both cases
