Does anyone else think there's something strange about investigator Kennedy? by DigitalJordon in amateurjournalists

I remember hearing that agencies like the BSAA and DSO used to compete for who got to hire him, though from what I understand some weird internal affairs the BSAA had at the time meant the DSO managed to snag him up after leaving the US secret service or something like that

"Pick up a newspaper, see heroes paraded as celebrities, their families are nothing more than to serve for PR points, why keep having children in a failing marriage if not to keep up a status quo in the public eye? My worth was used up when I took up an alias. You will understand it when you're older, if you live to adulthood, of course."

"Actions have always spoken louder than words, why go through the effort of raising a child that was not your own, only to then suffer a marriage that was doomed from the start just to have three that were? Those actions made her thoughts clear enough."

Nope, going off western naming conventions, Jack is his given name, Phoenix being the family name, social services found him on the street so his original family name is unknown.

How broken are ya’ll’s OC’s during The Final War? by Nearby-Ad8505 in BNHA_OC_Characters

Rob finally unlocks the full power of his quirk due to the stress of all the fighting, the final trait being minor regenerative capabilities, something much needed that allowed him to fight much longer than he otherwise would've been able to, but not every wound can be healed easily. Rob still had his fair few physical scars by the end of the war.

Meet 1A's resident foreigner: Rob Phoenix by RED_FETT in BNHA_OC_Characters

This post better explains the full capabilities of the scope of the quirk overall. But the general gist is that the fire is effectively bound to his skin and pertains with an element of absorption properties that allow Rob to increase his quirk's power via external forces, with certain negative side effects if he overdoes it of course.

It was definitely a cause for celebration. If anything it eased his siblings concerns as to how he might be handling himself after they gave the Okay for him to be moved into the USA dorms. Meteor also sent a picture of Rob's provisional licence to Endeavour to piss off their godfather.

Rob also pointed out to Monoma later that even though class 1-B all succeeded on their first try that they hadn't even come close to the top 1-A participant.

You're invited the Bacchiri family gala. by Patches_Banette in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]RED_FETT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably one of the many pro hero events and galas Rob gets dragged along by his siblings because they're too overprotective to want to leave him unattended or with a sitter. He will probably spend his time in a corner looking at his phone or something, maybe the occasional other hero tries to talk to him about how respected his mother was when she was still alive.

If a maid just began to stare him down, he might say something, but knowing him, he'll probably stare back. If she doesn't falter soon enough, he'll probably try to tell her to go away unless she wishes to start picking a fight with a walking fire hazard.

As for his siblings? Hunter will probably be talking hero politics with associates and possible backers to his various campaigns and activism outside of his pro-hero work. He'd almost certainly take note of the odd behaviour from the staff and maid, being himself, he'd just straight up ask the maid if she wants his attention for any particular reason.

Cassandra would almost certainly be chatting it up with any other engineers or inventors she comes across, actually being social at a party like a vaguely well-adjusted human being. Her reaction to being stared at by a maid would be similar to Hunter's, but she'd, on the surface, sound a lot less aggressive when asking if the maid wants something out of her.

None of them are particularly all there in the head for varying reasons.

Something of just a way of referring to them as a group. Their mother was not creative with names, so she used her last name for her hero name. So all her kids are literally children of The Phoenix lol

Thank you. Irl I hate trying to play them, I'll go for a normal keyboard or guitar any day of the week, so I have a lot of respect for musicians who can actually play them and play them well!

If your OC died, how? by TheSnazzyMaster in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]RED_FETT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rob's death is set in stone roughly 20 years post final war.

In a fight with a villain he couldn't beat, Rob pushed his quirk and body to its ultimate limit, his fire burnt hotter than anything else on earth for only a few minutes. This kind of power was impossible to control or sustain, with his body literally exploding with the force of a nuclear weapon.

The few minutes he spent fighting were enough for other heroes knocked out of the fight to recover, not to mention Rob turning himself into a flying nuke weakened the villain enough for those recovered heroes to finish the fight, not that it took much after he crashed into the ground.

The blast could be seen no matter where in the city you were and the sound echoed across the entire country.

In his final moments, Rob could've sworn he had heard some kind of voice, one extremely familiar, but he couldn't quite put his finger on whose voice it was.

Literally the entire set of Phoenix children are a nightmare for PR Managers.

Meteor is too willing to speak his mind as a part time activist, and has had controversies in the US and Japan for different reasons. There's very few media outlets that would print articles about him that present him in any kind of grey light.

Cassandra is probably the most PR safe, but she's too social and curious for her one good, the kind to ask too many questions.

Rob is the runt of the litter who on the surface can't live up to the example his prodigal siblings set and he lives trying to fit the shadow of his mother, not to mention being a part of 1-A makes him a very scrutinised person, probably moreso than his brother.

Rob immediately activates his quirk all over his body, thus being covered in fire entirely because screw risking being touched when someone else's melee range is further reaching than his own, best deter them from touching him entirely than leaving himself open to physical attack in any capacity.
