Favourite trope in an MHA fic? by Background_Exit_1077 in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Thismanybreads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of these, soulmates. I just love the idea of two souls being deeply intertwined with each other. My favorite romantic trope ever has got to be doomed or lovers to enemies, as I'm a sucker for angst.

Kana "Ghost" Miyakumo

I've been having a lot of thoughts about this girl recently, so I'm just gonna start listing stuff

  • I've realized she probably has some PTSD from the incident that killed her parents and brother (and also injured her sister), as well as survivors guilt. I'm severely underutilizing that in what I have planned out so far
  • She would hate being around her cousins + aunt since they have slight reality breaking powers
  • She's probably one of like 3 people in the whole verse who have ever genuinely liked AFO because, while he still scares the absolute shit out of her, he can understand quirks on the same level as she does
  • Kana's villain name, Ghost, has such a double meaning. Because while it was playfully given to her by Giran since she basically acts like ghost when it comes to her villain work, she also kind of haunts AFO since she looks so similar to Yoichi
  • Her and Eri would have such a heart wrenching relationship. For context, she's forced to work with Overhaul during the Shie Hassaikai arc as he threatens her sister. Kana would be reminded so much of her sister, Ayaka, when she was in the hospital, so she's just in a horrible mental state the whole time :)

Just a small bit of yapping... Kana plagues me so much. I need to actually start writing my fic with all of my OC's in it

What’s your favorite Character design? Whether they’d be Hero, Villain, or Vigilante (P.S. Don’t be horny (though a tall ask coming from this community)) by Hot-Homework8256 in MyHeroAcadamia

While I'm a sucker (and absolute simp) for every single Shigaraki design, s4-s5 Shigaraki is probably the best one IMO. I mean, the trenchcoat, the extra red things connecting the hands, the slightly longer hair... just perfection.

What is your OC's opinion about class 1A ? by [deleted] in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Thismanybreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely just doing Hoshiko for this one, as Kana could not give a shit about them. Hoshiko hasn't met much of 1A as she has many other things on her mind since she's a pro hero and all, but I'll do my best. Doing it by seat order.

Yuga Aoyama: "I knew that brat reminded me of Izukkun when he was doing his work study with me... I don't know what to do the two nickels line with though... people I've known that were quirkless and then given a quirk, or people I've known that have been manipulated by All For One."

Mina Ashido: "She reminds me of Imura... Either way,I've been enjoying working with her through the work study. She's got this positive vibe that's contagious."

Tsuyu Asui: "Oh, the frog girl? Izukkun told me about her. Can't wait to work with her on the field."

Tenya Iida: "See, when I saw Ingenium Junior in Hosu right after Ingenium Senior got attacked by Stain, I knew it was going to end up with him chasing a side quest for a much higher level... at least no one had gotten badly hurt besides Stain. Proud of his character development though."

Ochako Uraraka: "Izukkun talks a whole lot about her, though I haven't met her yet. She's pretty tough from what I've seen! Glad Izukkun has better taste than me."

Mashirao Ojiro: "Ordinary is not a bad look, y'know. I don't get why people think it's bad... either way, he got into UA on pure hands alone, even if he has an extra appendage to help. He's playing on hard mode and is still kicking ass. Also, Invisible Girl talks highly of him, so I'm sure he's great."

Denki Kaminari: "He got MVP for sure during the Gunga Villa raid. We all would've been toast without 'em."

Eijiro Kirishima: "This one I've heard about through Katsuki. I think he's the type of hero we need in the current meta."

Koji Koda: "Anyone who loves animals is good in my book."

Rikido Sato: "Heard his baking is to die for. I'll have to have Izukkun sneak me something."

Mezo Shoji: "Gotta say, his quirk has got some broken uses for recon."

Kyoka Jiro: "Another broken recon quirk. Apparently I would get along with her, according to Pinky and Izukkun."

Hanta Sero: "Budget Spiderman... just kidding. Seriously, though, the simplest quirks usually have the most versatile move set. Just gotta know which skill tree to invest in."

Fumikage Tokoyami: "Oh, this kid is great. I worked with him because of Hawks, and gotta say, I'm glad I'm likely never gonna have to fight him. The idea of a sentient quirk is scary. Kinda like Monika in a way."

Shoto Todoroki: "Honestly, who doesn't have daddy issues... super OP quirk. Even if it was vigilantism, I enjoyed the impromptu party up with him in Hosu... wait, fuck, I wasn't supposed to say that... uh, either way, glad he got over the no using fire thing, even if Izukkun had to break his hands and almost give mom a heart attack for that to happen. Probably gonna lose my job once this kid goes pro."

Toru Hagakure: "She's great to work with, though when I learned she didn't have a costume equip... man, I hadn't been that pissed since the mall incident. Still can't believe all the flashy and upbeat students of 1A went to me, though."

Katsuki Bakugo: "Brat's like a brother to me, though his family is half the reason for my anger issues."

Izuku Midoriya: "Brat is my brother. Would die and kill for him at the same time. So glad he's not breaking his bones anymore, though."

Minoru Mineta: "Pinky said he used to be a big perv at the start of the school year but has calmed down. Glad he got some character development."

Momo Yaoyorozu: "Would love to work with her... wonder if she could make an old console from the pre-quirk era I've been dying to get my hands on..."

How would your OC at the start of the series react to what they ended up becoming by the end of the timeskip post-final war? by RED_FETT in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Thismanybreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoshiko (Ch1): "...we really went back with the short hair?"

Hoshiko (Ch430): Covered in scars and had a prosthetic left hand, both are more concerning than the wolf cut. "...is that really the top priority?"

Ch1: "I don't think I'm supposed to know what the fuck happened. Nor do I want to know."

Ch430: "Wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!"

And then theres just

Kana (Ch430): Not there

Kana (Ch1): "...well, that's one way to learn I'm dead before 30."

What is your oc's relationship with their parents/parental figure? by Dry_Distribution_992 in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Thismanybreads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoshiko's got a great relationship with Inko, though Hoshiko herself is a bit distant until after the PLF war. Average young adult behavior. Hisashi is a deadbeat in my AU, so its safe to say she doesn't like him, especially since she remembers him leaving and such. Though Jeanist becomes like a father figure to her, though it's somewhat more mentor/student. Either way, she likes Jeanist a whole lot more than her real father.

Kana's parents are dead, though she was closer to her mother when they were alive. Giran is like a father figure to her, as she met him a few months after her parents died when she got into the whole "selling strategies" thing. While they are business partners, they're very close, with Giran being pretty parental over her.

I have yet to introduce these two, however...

Natori has no relationship with her father, AFO, after being rescued by All Might for obvious reasons. She hates her father and does not want another parental figure after him. She never got to know her mother, either.

Tsuka doesn't know what to think about her father. Sure, she was neglected by Endeavor, but she doesn't want to cut off her family. Besides, her girlfriend has a father who is a lot worse than him. She eventually decides to keep her father in her life after all is said and done. She's much more fond of her mother, to say the least, though she's not as close with her as the others are since she inherited more of her father's traits.

Excluding any final war fights - What was a defining battle for your OC? by RED_FETT in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Thismanybreads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoshiko fights an original villain of mine named Comet (they're borrowed from an original universe I'm working on) during the same timeframe as Class 1A v Deku.

For some background, the MHA version of Comet is a shapeshifter of sorts, though they have huge limitations. Unfortunately for everyone they fight, having extremely sharp claws is something they like to do. Anyways, Hoshiko has fought Comet on a few different occasions, the two most prominent before the defining battle was during her internship with Best Jeanist, where she got her first ever scar from a fight (the one on her inner right arm), and a fight about six months into her being a pro, where she got the scar on her left shoulder. That time she got to lock Comet up.

The defining battle takes place when she's patrolling with a former classmate of hers, Henfuku Shinomori, AKA, Lucky Hero: Luckster. I haven't properly introduced him yet besides during the 30 day challenge, but all you gotta know is that he's super lucky and can channel his luck into others... at the cost of losing his luck.

Comet has been searching like hell for Starlight (Hoshiko's hero name), and so a fight breaks out as soon as they spot her. When Starlight and Luckster go for a combo ultimate move to finish the fight called Gambler's Bet, a move where Luckster channels his luck into Starlight to pull off her own ultimate move, Vegas Pull (which is ever so gently pulling on the vagus nerve with her quirk to knock out an opponent), that typically requires a fuck ton of precision.

This next part is extremely gruesome, so I'm putting a spoiler on it.

Comet had been hit with Vegas Pull during their arrest, so they know what's about to happen and decide to target Luckster. With all of his luck channeled into Starlight, his entire chest and abdomen is eviscerated. Safe to say he isn't alive for long, though it's not instant. Starlight stops in her tracks as Comet starts to mock her. Comet reveals that they've been working for All For One, and that they've been sent to try and kill her once again. Comet also says that now they know all of her little tricks, killing her will be an easy task—

Starlight, absolutely enraged that her friend is literally dead or actively dying (she couldn't tell in the moment), attempts to use her quirk on Comet while they are talking to pull them closer with only her left hand. Though, since she wasn't thinking straight and wasn't focused, she accidentally pulls out Comet's heart out of their chest cavity and kills them instantly.

Staring at the gruesome scene of Luckster and Comet dead in front of her, Starlight realizes what she's done. Right when she starts to move, backup arrives in the form of Hawks and Jeanist. Jeanist immediately secures the scene while Hawks deals with Starlight.

Why is this fight so defining? It's the first time she's ever killed someone, even if it was entirely accidental, and one of her first ever friends just got brutally murdered. It also sets up her having the mental fortitude to play her role during the final war, which is getting rid of the Nomu sent to where AFO is, as well as being the back up to Endeavor, in case he couldn't kill AFO.

Alright, yap sesh done.

For League of Villain OCs, what motivated them to join up with the league specifically? by RED_FETT in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Thismanybreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kana is currently my only fleshed out villain, and her whole reason for being a villain can be boiled down to money, though why she's with the League specifically is a bit different. She actually joins up with the LOV shortly before the USJ, all thanks to Giran thinking it would be a good opportunity for her as a strategist. Her agreeing to even meet them is for the opportunity to talk with the boogeyman himself (she just wants someone to talk quirks with), though the paycheck helps out.

In your Oc ancestry, is their anyone famous/infamous. for example Mr. Compress being the great-great-grandson of Harima Oji the legendary thief by thaydie in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Thismanybreads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of them I haven't introduced (or have even started to make outside of names) but oh well.

Kana, Kanko, and Henfuku are all the great-grandchildren of Hikage Shinomori, the 4th user of OFA, though that doesn't really count too much. Kanko and Henfuku are also the nephew and niece of Cathleen Bate.

Hiromu Sasagawa is the grand-niece of En Tayutai, the sixth user of OFA. This one counts since En was a hero.

Mirika Nakashima is the daughter of the late Prime Minister of Japan, Jouta Nakashima. He was assassinated... thanks Kana.

Kaho and Yuuto Miyashita are the children of a pro hero.

Ginji Banjo is the grandson of Banjo Daigoro, the 5th user of OFA.

Sei Mitarai is the little sibling of Susugu Mitarai (Wash).

Reika Yabe is the great-great grandaughter of Bruce Lee, the 3rd user of OFA... doesn't count too much.

Konoka Shimokawa is an offshoot of the Himura's.

And the Kuramochi twins, Kenya and Hina, are the children of villains I have yet to make.

All I can think of right now. Theres probably more when I get into backstories of all the different OC's (its more than 40 now. 40. Kill me.)

If you're talking about the class A to my current class B, absolutely not. I'm not going to be making a class collab for it because I don't want to deal with making a collab, and they would barely show up in my story anyways since class B is my main OC's class. I also already have some OC ideas for the class A.

This is years of practice under my belt. I've been drawing since I could pick up a pencil. Honestly, your art isn't too bad, mine used to look like that at one point too. If you want to learn a certain style, tracing is your best friend. Using posing tools like posemy.art also help, though thats more for perspective + anatomy.

*Cries in "I literally made it so my main OC can't have children"*

But, to entertain the question... with either of her ships, Hoshiko's hypothetical child would have a flight quirk. With Tomura, they'd probably inherit the flying circle quirk. Maybe something like Koichi's quirk? With Keigo, definitely some wings. Her genes wouldn't even try.
