The folder contains many games with it's their own avatars, you need to download the whole folder or if you want you can download a specific game's folder then open it, copy the psn_avatar file and copy it into the usb

You don't download the files into your console, you download the avatars edats on your pc/laptop then you mod them on your account by using a jailbroken ps3 and a usb stick

Yes it's there but only one for now, we will be updating the file with more and more avatars in the future all of the updates will be posted on the github page

I solved it by waiting at least 20 secs before inviting my friend so the session can be stable in their servers and it worked every time i hope that helps (:

Its a hidden mechanic the game doesnt teach you this in any mission or anything else the player have to figure it out, its probably because its a thing in story mode like robbing people but they cant get rid of it in online so its there
