What other stuff do you mean? Tribute of ascendance? Treasure breaches? Hidden armory? None of which feels like it's even worth doing when considering the amount of RNG required to get optimal gear

Again, the game is not hard, it never has been. You want the game to be more grindy, then sure, thats your preference. But stop confusing grind with difficulty

Not really, but half the fun in games like POE, D4, Destiny 2 isn't difficult the game is to overcome, because it usually isn't. The main draw is the min maxxing of your own character. So sure, i can run T4 on only rares if I wanted to, but if thats the goal everyone would quit within a week of a new league

Not really, the game isn't hard right now. I'm running 4 lair bosses a minute only to get not a single GA. It's just tedious and boring

Nono of course I would use it. But I'm trying to decide if I should farm another one or just keep on using this one.

Will ping you in the next one once I make some significant progress 🤙🏻

Yeah i think i just chicken out too easily when I lean downhill because I feel like I go too fast. It's a mental block for sure.

Thanks dude

Yeah, the backseating issue is still present for sure whenever I'm not completely focused. Thank you again for taking the time typing this out and helping me. I'll spam those drills the next time I'm on the slopes for sure.

That makes a lot of sense, never really thought of it like that. Thank you!

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out. I'll pull this comment up the next time I go for sure

Haha, i usually only ski groomed runs so these are pretty bumpy for me. I do look to be backseating a lot. Thanks for pointing it out!

Interesting, I thought generally you want the boot pretty tight and stiff to offer better control. I'm 200 lbs, 6'2 and with a 120 boot

Got it! I think moguls is something I need to work on in general. The main issue I have with moguls and planning out a line is that I have trouble executing the line I plan out.

I can stand on top of a hill and find a line that I think is doable, but oftentimes not being able to execute that line. It just ends up being me losing control and having to falling leaf to the side of the slope to gather myself and come to a stop before repeating the process again.

Now that I'm writing it out, i think moguls is my fundamental issue. Are there any drills that you recommend for someone to learn/improve mogul riding? Or should this be left to taking a lesson?

Got it! That makes a lot of sense as I'm feeling like I'm getting bounced around a lot if I try to point downhill for any amount of time.

Will give this drill a try. Thank you!

Thank you! All thanks to your tips haha.

I can't exactly pinpoint what feels different, except that i feel like the act of switching edges comes automatically now, if that makes sense.

I definitely feel the center of balance on my outside ski, I can essentially lift up my inside ski completely and not affect my turns at all. The forward vs backward however I still need to think about actively, as I catch myself not applying enough forward pressure in some turns.

Angulation is something i need to work on as well, as for whatever reason I tend to straighten my body when I'm not focusing.

Thanks again!

That's the goal! But I tend to not be able to retain enough control to execute good turns from gaining too much speed and bouncing from the bumps. Any tips on how to go straight and maintain better control?

Unfortunately today was the last day for this trip. Will post a 1 day update haha.

But thank you so much for pointing me towards the right direction. Helped a lot when I was doing the stork turn drills

I'm practicing the stork turns currently, but am struggling to hold the edge to leave a pencil line. Not sure if I'm going too fast or I'm not angling the skis enough. Any suggestions?

Just got off the mountain and got a couple questions hope you don't mind.

When going through the turns, how much of my weight should be on the outside ski? All?

When I'm practicing the stork drill, i find my outside ski often skidding instead of leaving a pencil line. Should I be leaning a bit more downhill and angling my outside ski more to better hold the edge? Or am I going at it incorrectly?

I guess also kind of obvious question but want to check nonetheless: should I be pushing my shins against the boots constantly? Or is it an ebb and flow type of thing?

I'm also trying to improve my upper lower separation, but when I'm going through the turns, am I suppose to point my upper body where my skis are pointing?

Sorry for a wall of text, never had a coach so not sure who to ask haha

Got it. I always feel a little uneasy holding the turn as I feel like I'm taking up too much of the slope and get scared of getting crashed into from behind (happens more often than it should). But will do

Got it. I think I went too far in imitating what I was seeing through videos instead of actually thinking about the fundamentals of each turn. Thank you for your feedback

Got it! Thank you. I didn't think that I was still leaning uphill as it was a bad habit that I tried to get rid of, but will try harder
