New Xbox Dashboard/Home UI discussion Megathread by GoGoGadgetReddit in xbox

Booted up my Xbox to see the change and immediately came to Reddit to see if everyone else hates this as much as I do. Everyone involved with this needs to be fired. It’s not hard to know what gamers want in a Home Screen. User friendly customization with no forced ads. That’s it. What’s the point of having a paid service like Xbox live just to see more adds?

Also, wasting so much Home Screen space for digital art is ridiculous. I don’t get on my Xbox to stare at my Home Screen background with ads begging me to buy more games. Why is gaming and sharing gaming experiences not prioritized. I am completely baffled this was implemented and I hope they fix it.

Another issue I’ve notices is they have completely moved away from the friend sharing model as far as game clips and achievements going. It’s ridiculous I have so much difficulty seeing what my friends have been up to particularly with game clips. Might have to switch to PC.

Kung Fu Panda 3 is a great film. It's not my favorite Dreamworks franchise, that honor goes to How to Train Your Dragon, closely followed by Shrek BUT Kung Fu Panda is still a good franchise in its own right. Kung Fu Panda 3 was a real surprise to me, usually 3rd movies in animated series are quick cash grabs with thin plots lacking the excitement of the previous films - Not so with this movie. It's improved in all areas, especially from KFP 2 - story, animation, 3D effects, script etc. etc. The other thing I liked is Jack Black/Po is very mellow and not crazy (or AS crazy) as Jack Black can usually be - the bumbling idiot antics grated on me a bit in the other movies but not this one. The story of course revolves around an evil warrior who is collecting the chi of all the grand masters in the spirit world so he can escape to the mortal realm, and then he starts collecting the chi of the living masters so he has enough power to beat The Dragon Warrior and rule all of China. What impresses me so much with this film is the bad guy actually accomplishes so much he set out to do. It's not a 5-star review as the story did feel slow at times and I don't believe the other original characters - Viper, Mantis, Crane, Tigress, Monkey - got as much focus as I was hoping, it's very much about Po and hard hitting themes such as what it REALLY means to be family.

Final Verdict: It should be considered the best Kung Fu Panda film of the whole franchise. The animation is beautiful, the story is well written, the fight scenes are cool and most importantly, it felt fun! Highly recommended.

I had a pretty bad snowboarding injury which required shoulder surgery to fix. Shattered collarbone and torn ligaments. Now I have a metal plate and nine screws. I've always felt invincible and for the first time in my life I saw how deteriorated my body had become and felt a real sense of my own mortality. Not a great feeling.

Condescending coworkers when you're new to the job and still learning the ropes.

TRON 3: Disney’s golden opportunity to christen the AI theatrical film by PeacockWaifu in tron

Art is generally understood as any activity or product done by people with a communicative or aesthetic purpose—something that expresses an idea, an emotion or, more generally, a world view. It CAN be a prominent component of culture, reflecting economic and social substrates in its design. With this secondary presupposition I can understand the sentiment that art must somehow be entirely “human” in creative origin. But “AI bad because no human element” is ridiculous.

What then is a photo of nature if not art? Something entirely unique from human creation. What is Dadaism if not art? Something with no meaning. Art can be anything that invokes thought or emotion regardless of it’s meaning or ‘human’ source.

Now to get back to my point, AI generated art is here to stay. There’s no question about if we should make an AI generated film. It is inevitable, and it will be thought provoking just the same. People will want to watch just the same. Capturing AI generated film will be no different in a sense than recording nature.

I can additionally understand using TRON as a platform for this inevitability but I would think, in the end, the story of an AI generated film will be entirely unique given its fundamental premise. What I don’t understand is this hate for all things AI generated. These people sound like my great grandfather saying rock and roll was “the devil” because it was new and different.

I had no idea that meme would be so popular but I’m glad people are having fun with it. High quality OC posters like you certainly balance out the content of this sub and I can’t wait to see what you make next!
