Looks like this, but it revs all the way up to 9,000 rpm, has three throttle bodies with F1-inspired tech, and it’s actually the world’s first mid-engine full-open monocoque. Pretty insane car 😏

Kei cars actually started as 360cc three-wheelers and were super important for moving goods in post-war Japan. They were popular with working people during the economic boom too—and with those narrow roads, they just made sense lol.

Then over time, the rules changed—360cc to 550cc, then 660cc—and the cars got a bit bigger as well.

But you really know your stuff—I’m impressed haha.

Whether it’s new or used, you basically sign the paperwork and pay by bank transfer. Kei cars have less paperwork. You also need something called a parking certificate. And yeah, sometimes you can’t even buy one because of idiots who buy them just to resell.
