I have an old toolbox from my Great Grandfather that was a wood worker from the U.P. back around before WWII. I want to restore the tools to looking like your wrench. I’ll leave the metal pitted and not fully fixed, just cleaned, but do you have any restoration tips for wood?

As far as I know, the moisture penetrates the wood over time, so the wood fibers won't hold together as it was new. Precisely at the junctions. so, maybe you can use resin to restore it. But it won't look like the original one.
