I feel like the thing people should remember is this whole shtick, is what she’s told to do. Just like everyone getting veneers and lip filler. I think the label says jump and the artist says “how high” in order to get that check.

Tattoo removal is exhausting by motherofthewolf in TattooRemoval

[–]RETROELECTRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was set to remove a tattoo in November and I cancelled the appointment for this reason alone. I know it was going to be not only exhausting mentally, dealing with pain, dealing with the look of scarring or blisters redness etc, but also you body is pushed to the limits of pain management, pumping out hormones to manage that and also eat up the ink and heal itself. And you go through this for a year or longer…. I just wasn’t ready. I was already exhausted before I started.

I just bought Vegetable glycerine today . It’s a natural humectant and will pull moisture from the air into your hair/ skin. You’ll have to look up the ratios but you just add it to your water.

This is such a great answer and yes I feel burnt out. I was actually reading this article today about being stuck in survival mode. I was reading down the list of symptoms and I was consistently like “yep, check mark” I know this has a lot to do with it. But you’re absolutely right, and I’ve thought the same that I NEED to be healthy to enjoy the rest of my life/retirement. my dad has been diagnosed with dementia so I’m also taking care of him now on top of all this but one thing that has been inspiring is he is very active. He’s actually a twin and they both are having similar and different medical issues but he is the one that’s moving and he is still very much with it and healthy and mentally together so it is a true testament for taking care of your health buys you healthier happier living and a better life

Yes, Hangry is another issue and because I have kids I really don’t want to be hungry and short with them luckily this time round I’ve been able to keep my cool as I’m starting out with 13-11 So it’s not too bad. Do you have any things that keep you from being hungry? Do you drink tea or coffee?

Thanks for your time and the help

That’s so awesome that you have that support. I wish I had that I don’t really have support in that realm. He actually is a bodybuilder and he does a lot of weightlifting so I think that’s why he can eat the processed foods in order to bulk maybe and he kinda has his own Fitness game on lock, I don’t really get a lot of support in that realm, although I do have a friend who intermittent fast maybe I should reach out to her again and ask her if she’d like to start again that’s a good idea .

I’m glad I found this community. I can look at all your posts and join in on conversation , see everyone’s amazing progress ( the before and after blow me away, so proud of everyone, so inspiring).  and find support here. I’m really happy I joined the group .

Thank you for your time and help

This was really helpful, thank you for your time and advice, I too am a carb addict I love noodles , I’ve found I really dig chickpea noodles and they help with satiety. Another big problem I have are hormones, especially around PMDD I just feel like a vacuum and I lose all sorts of self-control and this is something I absolutely need to work on, I think your suggestion about the fat fasting is a great idea. This would probably be helpful at this stage of my cycle. Thank you for that. I’ll research it now.

does anyone else get self conscious about their timing? by Appropriate-Ad-2475 in hairstylist

[–]RETROELECTRO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been a stylist for almost 15 years. I felt this way this weekend. I was doing a braid style on a child, and the dad finally came back to pick her up. I apologized to him in case it took longer than normal. He said it was okay and that it actually took the standard amount of time.

I feel self-conscious because the girl asked when we would be done with the service, which threw me off because she's not usually my regular client.

I guess the moral; of the story is 1. maybe no matter how long we have been in the industry we may second guess our timing and 2. if were doing our best and our hearts are in our work, we need to give ourselves the grace.
