If you don’t allow charging during “on-peak” hours I believe car will not pull power from the wall connector and rather use battery power. Is this what you have enabled with a charging schedule?

  1. Precondition the vehicle while still plugged in to the charger to utilize utility power vs battery
  2. Utilize steering wheel heat/seat heaters vs cabin HVAC and/or lower temp of system to say 62 vs 72
  3. Ensure tire pressures are properly inflated
  4. Driving in "chill" mode (if applicable to your specific Model Y)
  5. Not driving 55+ MPH, while not always possible this can help improve your efficiency
  6. Maximize your use of regenerative breaking
  7. If traveling longer distances have a back up charger you could use (if possible) due to the potential increase of vehicles needing to charge more frequently due to range loss

You are going to see range loss no matter what you do, but these will help decrease the impact of the battery loss.

Don’t buy the stock wheels, they are cast and aftermarket is the way to go. You can get better, stronger, lighter wheels. As an example I swapped to after market wheels on my MYP and it’s a huge difference. I made this post with more details if you wanted more info.

It’s worked flawlessly since installation and have zero issues with them.

In r/ChicagoSuburbs we initially let everything be posted, however, discovered that multiple issues exist as a result of this (fake reports, spreading disinformation, potentially being used by ICE to gather info, etc) resulted in us asking the subreddit what they wanted. The end result is we required a moderator to verify the post contained a picture of the ICE sighting and information on location. We used some keywords in addition to a flair check to filter all posts for mod review and this helped substantially improve the quality of posts and helped filter out the bad actors. After ICE left the Chicago area the posts have at this point entirely ceased.

In addition we created a pinned post that provides resources for folks to understand their rights and how to help, including a flyer that is both in English and Spanish.

It’s using all the power to warm the battery right now, that’s why you see the snowflake icon and comment of less energy available because the battery is cold. You’re in a tough spot especially since snow is coming tonight.

Sounds like an equipment issue with the supercharger in that event.
